Push come to shove the republican senators will have no backbone as usual. Maybe Gaetz and one other will be stopped but that's it.

No backbone would be them not confirming Trump's picks. They are the GOP not the dems.

Seems that DJT's toughest critics on cabinet picks right now are Republican Senators.

RINOS

The following "RINOs" have expressed at least "reservations" about many of the current cabinet level picks:

Cramer ND
Ernst IA
Collins ME
Murkowski AK
Cornyn TX
Thune SD
Tills NC

"Trump's Cabinet of horrors exposes his totalitarian drift,"

Perhaps a bold attempt to shape a brave new approach to domestic government within his new administration?

Perhaps giving out jobs "for the boys" to pay back political and electoral debts?

Perhaps he just doesn't care, or has  thought through, that he is proposing a nonce and a nutter for two of the most consequential jobs in American government!

Then there is inventing a whole new job and government department for his new bestie Elon Musk?

That one's easy to understand, Musk has money, huge amounts of it! Mr Trump is defined by money.

Yeah and the ones that are left are still spewing the same insanity they did before their Obsession won.

Danderman, where are you? Still voting in the USA?

I never called him guilty. I, like many others want to see the report into a potential AG. Some apparently are worried about what it may say.

There's too much  ducking and weaving aka smoke from the traitor Johnstone for there not to be some fire here. Others too are scrambling. Trump wants to skip senate confirmations. Talk about the mafia taking over government.

Apparently Trump winning has really "upset" your mind given by the posts you are making now.

Insults and more insults by the Trump brigade shows just how sick a big part of the US is.

Wow. LOL. You ARE living in your own world.

I dont think Donald Trump ever called Kamal supporters garbage, or deplorable, or bitter clingers, or nazis, or facists.

I dont think you can ever find an instance of Big Don insulting the electorate in such vile, disgusting and violent terms.

The OP should be afraid, very afraid. Trump probably reads this forum and has all the haters on a list. There will be a comfy bunk in a camp waiting for all of them.

Apparently I need to indicate this is sarcasm, as certain posters are devoid of a sense of humour.

I want a meme showing Trump with a crown and Elvis costume: The King is Back. Heads will EXPLODE.

The entire Leftist philosophy is like a Babylon Bee headline. That does not mean they arent dangerous. Folks used to make fun  of the National Socialists too.

"Kiddie fiddler" "child rapist". Wow! Some people. I know you're form on here but you really need to start considering your state mind. Apart from your questionable mental state 17 years old can hardly be called a kiddie fiddler, child rapist  now can it and to call someone this who has not been convicted of said crimes is pretty fkd.

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the expression "Where there's smoke, there's fire"

I am well aware of the meaning of this proverb. There's likely a basis to a rumor. It can also be said to be an accusation or opinion with no basis other than speculation based on on a rumor/false allegation. It's also a saying that has absolutely zero basis in law. However there is also a saying that sht sticks. I'm sure you're aware of this one. It's when an innocent person who has been found not guilty and hence cleared of all charges is treated and continues to be treated as if guilty of all charges.

This is the opinion of a deluded mind. It is the totalitarianism of the Left with it's identity politics that lost it the election.

Indeed. Even the definition is off the wall hyperbole. Totalitarianism is a political system whereby the state controls everything: markets, press, speech, movement, work choice. The term is inapplicable to the US or any other democracy, and the US just proved the power of democracy.

Totalitarianism seeks dominion over the individual to the point where individuality is erased. That’s what happened to the Republican Party. Individuals have looked the same, talked the same, acted the same and thought the same for a long time. (The men sometimes literally dress the same as Donald Trump, with a blue suit, a long red tie.) After the election, however, Republican behavior has finally been totalized.

Totalitarianism also seeks to dominate the individual’s mind by going to war against facts, reason, science and any useful meaning of the word “proof.” In normal times, pre-Trump, we could expect in the Senate a spirited debate over a president-elect’s cabinet nominations, beginning with whether they’re qualified. Such debate is going to be impossible now, because “being qualified” is a meaningless term.

totally agree.  I have read portions of the Projec 2025 - it is not a new proposal but one started 50 years ago by the Republicans to try to move the government back to a conservative state.  I agree that there is way too much waste, fraud, over manned and useless offices that would be better served (for the citizens) if the individual states took on those positions.  But, those people put in charge via the cabinet position must be well versed in the mission of said activity, but realize that currently the positions seemed to be given to those who actively supported Trump.  If the Congress goes along and all these folks are approved for their assignment, then IMHO we the citizens are &^*%$$$, possibly for the foreseeable future.  But, I hope all is not in vain and that most of the problem areas are fixed as they are really out of control at this time IMHO.  Good luck to all and enjoy cooler weather maybe but TIT so...

Gaetz is probably the worst of this stinky bunch, but don't forget how horribly bad Tulsi Gabbard is.

Put her in and western allies will stop sharing all or most of their intelligence secrets with the U.S. because with good grounds, they will see Gabbard as a Putin toady.

The security of the U.S. will be greatly weakened if she's installed.

The U.S. is already as weak as it has been under the Biden administration.

The situation will change 180 commencing on January 25th, 2025 with Trump as your new Daddy.

As a foreigner you don’t understand how the justice system works in America,

Innocent until convicted guilty in a court of law.

Your version may work in your banana republic but not America.

Totalitarianism isn’t solely state-controlled; it often involves a dictator wielding absolute power through the state.

Hitler's Third Reich was classic totalitarianism—fusing state control with his dictatorship to dominate media, education, the economy, and private life through propaganda and terror.

Oversimplifying democracy’s immunity ignores risks of authoritarian creep. Too much hyperbole, too little nuance.
