Don't worry, they are not smart enough to realize that.

  • Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency     Should'a picked a better candidate.  The 2024 election was the Dems' to lose.  And boy, did they lose.

How do you run up $35T deficit ... I know, by borrowing money and giving it away to foreign countries while your citizens are living in the streets :cheesy:

And the idiots keep reelecting the same career politicians and wonder why nothing changes :cheesy:

The running up a huge deficit is a strange one by any logic. I guess it's on the principle that if I owe $100 it's my problem, but if I owe $100 trillion it's your problem. Whatever, it's never going to be repaid, EVER.

In the US there isn't any difference between parties or politicians- all out of the same box. Any difference is only window dressing to pretend the voters have a choice.

The US is a strange one- proclaims itself to be capitalist, but isn't, the people are frightened by the word "socialism" but want social security and medicaid.

I liked NZ in the 70s, actual socialised public health, the state owned the railways, and the power system, the telephone system, then they went and privatised everything and it's been a disaster.

It was the billion dollar thing......😉

Funny, never heard anything like this with all of Soros's billions donated to Democrats or buying odd DAs in Democrat areas to given lenient punishment to criminals.

Would he think differently if the Pope made the contribution instead of Musk?

More like Canadian dollars and not USD's.

The biggest problem with government run programs and facilities, other than waste and corruption, is how long it takes to get anything started.  Too many layers of bureaucracy.

Yep ... perfect example is San Fran's $1.7 million public toilet.  Emphasis on toilet (1), not toilets.  A bit of outrage, and supposedly getting more, in that budget ... BUT, is there any left over ?

The toilet and construction, though silly priced, wasn't the problem.  The proposal, study, approval, regulation process, and all the BS, was the cost drivers.

Some more silliness

The worst thing about this IMO is that so many of the voters in the USA were swayed by him and Trump's rhetoric. I still just can't understand how anyone would vote for Trump, regardless of who was running against him.

Remember trump promised oil executives he would take care of them if they donated a billion dollars towards his election. Not long after we heard trump promising to "drill baby, drill'

Actually, they 'only' gave 75m, which shows they are not that stupid.

https://worldecomag.com/how-oil-interests-are-powering-trumps-campaign-with-75-million-in-funding/

It confirms they don't really need more drilling opportunities as they are not using the thousands of drilling permits already issued  On top of it, oil prices have already gone down so the profitability  of new drilling is not obvious.

Interesting opinion piece...

GOP legislators are toying with reducing payouts under the system, including raising the retirement age and other benefit cuts. As one GOP representative recently told Fox Business Network, “we're going to have to have some hard decisions” on Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare.

Trump’s GOP will be making “hard” choices, meaning they will be cutting benefits, in order to fund tax cuts for wealthy donors.

Do your homework on election:

Republicans spent 3.5 billion

Democrats spent a staggering 4.5 billion - ONE BILLION more!

The working class elected Trump because they are sick of Woke, liberal failed policies. Simple as that!

Would you prefer that money went to Hamas?

Yes, in form of development aid and food and water houses and all that - not for more bombs and fighter jets.

Are all Palestinians terrorists?

Israel killed within the last year more than 10,000 innocent children.

Do you think they deserved to die?

And obviously the USA supplied all the weapons. And they continue to supply the weapons.

But they are just Palestinians, like dogs, who cares.

I see you haven’t come to the realization that Hamas uses the Palestinian people as their personal shields.

They could care less about them.

My original post is still valid.

Nuff said.  Enough thread Fuc——.

Now run off the the closet American University and join the riots.  Don’t forget your head scarf.

I don't know why anyone should be surprised, government by oligarchs is coming to America.

It's going to get messy when the trump sheeple at the bottom of the pyramid realize how completely they have been conned.

Maybe the Second Amendment will become useful, according to the Law of Unintended Consequences.

Calling the huge majority of US voters "sheeple" is hardly going to attract people to your side of the fence. You should have learned from your Demorat leaders' drubbing that calling people names doesn't win you elections, whereas good policies like securing the border, reducing immigration, repatriating illegal migrants, improving law and order, supporting your foreign allies, stopping anti-semitism  etc does.

Don't be naive.  Who do you think got most of the aid from UNWRA and other foreign contributors?  Did you see what was found in Sinwar's hideout after he was killed?

Seems as enough voters thought better than a laughing hyena.

I don't think so, more like being impressed by money, with back-up from a bloke with money..

Plus the promises that have already gone out the window...

Why do you think your leader wears a ball-cap, to look classy, or make his fanbase feel at home....... :stoner:

There is no doubt that wealthy contributors expect something in return for their donation.

Judging by who gave and how much they gave is an indication who thought who was going to win and who was going to lose.  Hmmm. Sounds like a word salad from the loser.

Stereotyping one's supporters is a sure sign of ignorance.  Trump's supporters have a background as diverse as America.  Probably applies to Harris's supporters as well.

Trump has about 30% of Americans in his cult of personality. The other 20% are people he has conned.

I am not American, I don't care if I don't attract people to my side of the fence. I call it as I see it, and I doubt there are many so-called aliens who regard the election of a felon and sexual predator as anything but a sick joke.

Support your foreign allies? Trump is an isolationist who wants to disengage from the rest of the world.

As for illegal migrants, be careful what you wish for. Without them, the crops that feed America would stay rotting on the ground.

Me, loser of what, I lose nothing because I am not American, I just post on things I have witnessed......🤗

Including interviews with red ball-cap voters, of which many were hilarious...........:clap2:

Trumps performances were mainly hilarious, of course from an outsider's point of view, but it could be deemed normal to you Americans...🤗

As far as Harris is concerned, Americans will probably never be adult enough to elect a female leader. The Democrats failed to learn that lesson with Clinton.

Let me guess.  You actually believe all that?

It  wasn't about electing a "female" leader. It was about electing a competent leader. A leader who understands that thel issues aren't all about her. And that person has to be electable.  People can spot a phony a mile away.

Hillary?  An excellent example. Condescending in the extreme.  People hated her.  Or, enough people hated her that she had no chance. She was a hypocrite.  For example, in the morning she'd give a speech about being "stronger together."  Something like that. In the afternoon, she'd be on Wall Street somewhere getting paid big money to address an audience about how to screw over the public and enrich the 1%. Maybe she thought no one would notice?

As for Kamala?  The woman was not allowed to speak to the press unless it was on their terms and under close adult supervision.  Hardly presidential material.  If she can't handle a press conference, how can she be expected to handle being the President of the United States?

It does get repaid - via maturing bonds financed by current or saved output. National budgets are not the same as household budgets. And the decision to let people sleep in the streets is a political one in the US.

For the majority it’s a lifestyle choice.
