Ex-MP Claims Thaksin is the True Leader of the Government

In a pointed critique of Thailand's current administration, former Democrat MP Thepthai Senapong has boldly declared that Thaksin Shinawatra, the ex-Prime Minister, is the true orchestrator behind the scenes, despite his daughter Paetongtarn Shinawatra's official leadership role.

This claim was made in Thepthai's recent Facebook post titled "Thaksin is the Real Owner of the Government," as political debate heats up over the influence of familial ties in governance.

Thepthai's comments follow Thaksin's recent address at Rajabhat University, in Nakhon Ratchasima, where he outlined an ambitious plan for Thailand's Northeastern region, known as Isaan.

His strategy includes promoting local products through soft power and OTOP initiatives, tackling drug issues with a public information app, and boosting the economy by issuing short-term bonds in a novel coin format. If successful, these initiatives could enhance the country’s GDP from the current 2% to a prospective 4-5%.

According to Thepthai, such propositions from Thaksin are swiftly turned into policy by the government, reinforcing the perception that Thaksin is a shadow leader. He highlighted the government's policy statement, which closely mirrors Thaksin's vision for Thailand expressed in his speeches, further suggesting a direct influence on official governmental direction.

Additionally, Thepthai noted recent moves to suppress influential criminal figures as a testament to Thaksin's sway.

Although a special committee proposed by Thaksin and intended to be headed by Paetongtarn has yet to be officially established, law enforcement agencies have already begun initiatives aligned with Thaksin’s recommendations.

This swift action suggests that Thaksin's influence may eclipse formal governmental instructions.

Thepthai argues that this synergy between Thaksin’s ideas and government policy signifies a shift in power dynamics, with Paetongtarn’s role increasingly seen as a conduit for her father’s directives.

"Father thinks, Father determines, Father directs, Father orders," states Thepthai, encapsulating his belief that Thaksin's influence prevails over his daughter's official title as Prime Minister.

This commentary arrives amidst ongoing scrutiny of Paetongtarn's government, with questions about the extent of Thaksin's influence, reported Thai Newsroom.

That's amazing to the point it's nearly unbelievable.

But what a recovery, from his death bed to running the country, golfing and jet setting around meeting foreign leaders - it's a miracle in the true sense, next is Sainthood.

Everyone knows this.

Everything from the start has been a game played, to the former PM, then conviently loses his position.

Everyone knew this...but good to see people now calling this charade out publicly.

Hopefully Pita can follow Taksins lead. As Pita is an immensely popular figure for Thai people.

You don't need to be Einstein to work that one out,

And in other news, sunrise happened today. A testament to the cronyism and corruption in the Thai government and elite circles, this farce should be ended.

Thank goodness for that.

Otherwise the country would be run by someone with zero relevant experience.

Yep.  🎯  Bulls-eye!

Lucky he´s soo smart. Otherwise he would never made MP.

I guess this is the class case of "The Emperor's New Clothes".

Everyone can see with their own eyes the truth, but you have to have a hefty pair to stand up and point it out.

This, from an ex democrat MP, who was a supporter of a military coup government and a royalist to boot.

Stating the bleedin obvious.

This Government indeed needs a leader.. Nobody in the whole country knows when the Same Sex Marriage will be possible it seems. Is it the 22nd of January or the 23rd?? Apparently a judge has do a verdict .... whil it is so simple 120 days after publication... But even this is for the Government to difficult to announce... and so many couples, Amphurs etc are waiting for the date.... A true Government makes a law and gives a date, no judge needed...

it's taken this guy months to report something half the  country worked out when Thaksin returned from Dubi and received VIP treatment instead of prison.

I'm puzzled. There is really a politician who found out who's the leader? Congrats, very high IQ

The country was run by a certain general with zero relevant experience and only a Military Academy education after an illegal coup in 2014 which lasted 9 years. No wonder the country is known as The Banana Republic of Thailand.

Yea we all know that he's the Puppet master and that his Daughter is the Puppet.

That is why he should be in jail because he's is breaking the court Order that he isn't allowed to engage in any way with/in politics.

Does that really matter in a country, where the number of Thai people directly affected by the Same Sex Marriage is less than about 1%
