All six episodes of S6 'The Unforgotten.'  On TPB though not in one folder.  This is an excellent, well-scripted, well-acted offering from the BBC; it even survived the loss of the luminescent Nicola Walker.

Check her out in the series 'The Split.'

Unforgotten season 6 - complete package is on TGx.

Just finished Crá season 1 and I enjoyed it. It was recommended by @oxo1947 last year. I just got round to watching it.

It's on TheRARBG.

BBC--Crime 6 episodes starts Monday

A Bradford detective with his personal life in chaos must hunt down a killer targeting the Asian community.-----

The whole series is available now. Watched the first two episodes and so far so good! It's not quite your usual British crime drama and just like the town where it's set, Bradford, this series is gritty. Enjoying it so far!

Just watching Miss Austen a mini series from the BBC. Rather confusing storyline, and of course they just cannot stop themselves shoehorning a black character in as a Doctor. There was not one black Dr in the UK at the time of the drama, the first black Dr in the UK did not appear until 1837 and he was American. Why do they do it? it's never an Indian or Chinese, always a black actor, and has to be in a positive role. Beeb lying again. Never a fan of Austen, but apart from the Dr and other historical bloopers it's very well written and watchable.

Thanks @oxo1947. I'll have a look at that. Season 1 complete is on TGx, 1337x, TheRARBG etc

When I can't find a good movie to watch, I get onto BBC iPlayer and watch something of interest there, and I have found a good "series" called "Murder Trial" which follows in real time, actual murder trials in Scotland.

They consist of one or two episodes in the main and are extremely interesting, not because of any gory details, but because of the skill of the Crown Prosecutor, who never ceases to amaze in the way he approaches his questioning of witnesses.

There are quite a few to choose from so if you're interested in a real drama, then this may be for you?

As always after watching something like this, I get on to watch another episode of Cheers and I have come to appreciate how skilful, nay brilliant, the scriptwriters are in this series, because the quickwitted interchange between the characters at the bar is a joy to behold and always makes me laugh or at least brings a smile to my face.

I've just finished season 1 of American Primeval and enjoyed it. It was brought to my attention by @sharot724. It's on TGx.

Deleted it after a few episodes. Annoying main characters and hard to believe.

Clearly, 'The Grinch Who Stole Christmas' isn't your vibe. Maybe you'd prefer something more straightforward, like a boring documentary?"

I did not like it either. We are allowed not to like something yes?

Each to their own but I thought it was a cracking series.

Looking at the IMDB rating, I'm not the only one.

Just finished watching Season 1 of Landman, with Billy Bob Thornton.

Having lived and worked in the oilfields of Midland, Texas, they got a lot of things right, even if it was way overblown.  But nobody'd watch it if it was 100% realistic.

Worth a watch, 10 episodes.  BBT is always great.  Looks like they're shooting for a 2nd season with the cliffhanger.

(Or maybe you had to be there to enjoy the show)

In the serie it was mentioned that the workers, mexican even, made 180K a year. Realistic?

With a lot of overtime, yes.  It's been awhile, so I don't know what the base pay is.   But roughnecks don't work 40 hours a week on drilling or workover crews (actually on the rigs).  They work long hours, when there's work.

The crew that his son was hurt on were roustabouts, who do day to day maintenance.  Those hours range all over the map.  The show conflated the 2, where the roustabouts were also doing roughneck work.  That wasn't common when I was there in the '80s, '90s and very early 2000's.  May be now, and maybe someone with more recent experience can chime in and correct me.

Serverance.  Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, but I like quirky, and quirky it is.  Others who like quirky agree as the show has an 8.7 Imbd rating.

Paradise - started off with an interesting premise, but it seems to have become a melodramatic parody of itself as it approaches mid-season of season 1. It contains distinct elements of Blake Crouch's Wayward Pine but with a twist. But unfortunately it's becoming maudlin and sappy.  In Thai terms, too much Lakhon and not enough plot.  They've tossed in a plot twist at the end of episode 4 so I'll hold off judgement and see what shakes.

Watched the first season of "The Night Agent" The Night Agent (TV Series 2023– ) - IMDb and it seemed to start pretty good, and I made it through season one, but it got dumber and dumber and no the wheels seemed to have fallen off in season two.

It’s “veg material” totally unbelievable, unbelievably craap - Thai subs, the missus likes it, it’s a winner if it means Thai TV is on hold.

Talking of carp, I just started watching 2025 season of pawn stars seems so dated and cringable, unbelievable that they made so many series. Another missable series is The Hunting Party

What I really hate are shows where everyone seems to be an a-hole, you have no one to root for, and the moment you do, they get killed off.
