3 episodes already out, IMDB trailer looks decent.

Battle of the war films: Brits vote on their favourite WW2 movies of all time - which do YOU think came out on top?

Director Christopher Nolan's costly historical thriller Dunkirk proved the enduring popularity of war films to cinema audiences in the UK.

But it may come as a surprise to some that the £112million picture – featuring pop singer Harry Styles – has topped a list of the nation's favourite Second World War films of all time.

It beat classics such as The Dam Busters (1955) and The Bridge On The River Kwai (1957) in the poll by Deltapoll, which surveyed 1077 film buffs, for the War Movie Theatre podcast.

Liked ep 1, and they explained why his daughter was a native American,

Starting ep 2 now.

I sort of like period dramas.

Season 3, you mean? I agree Alan Richter can't act but they managed to mangle all the other elements of the show as well. The series has been a big disappointment.

aye season 3

I knew the premise of Hacks (multi year comedic tv series) before sampling it and wasn't sure it was my kind of show, but three episodes in and I'm into it. Actually from the first episode. It's very well reviewed but I'm not sure that I'm going to watch all the seasons yet. The lead is a famous aging female comedian and I did wonder if her characer is based on Joan Rivers, so looked it up and it turns up its based on an amalgam of famous female comedians including Rivers.

The only true thing about War movies is that what you see is not what happened.

Tried watching episode three last night, can't cope with Sherlock superior attitude all the time and the incessant loud music, so no more Sherlock and his daughter for us.  🥴

I downloaded "The Accountant 2" as I liked the original movie very much indeed, however this was nowhere near it and was, IMO, a mishmash of a movie which was all over the place and had none of the "intrigue" of the original.

Also it looked like Ben Affleck was simply walking through the movie to get a paycheck and as for the plot – – couldn't really find it!

The other ones are good too. Long Way Up. Long Way Down. Long Way Around. There might have been more. I especially liked the one from Tierra del Fuego to LA, with the electric bike and support vehicles.

I've seen all the previous episodes but couldn't get into the new one, maybe it just got to be too much of the same.

I was going to suggest that maybe it's a bit played out now. The first one sold millions of aluminum panniers, to myself included.  The ones after seemed a little pedestrian, but I thought it was worth a look.

Two friends go missing, and in between their disappearances, a third friend is murdered, their mothers begin their own investigation.

The three cases are explored, with twists and turns, including one revelation that shakes the community.

Bakersfield 3 is just 45 mins long and I am half way in.

Bay Area 50 years resident and was aware that it has a sour reputation

Yes, Bakersfield has a reputation for struggling with a drug problem, particularly methamphetamines, according to Cycles of Change Recovery Services. The city is sometimes referred to as "the armpit of California" due to its conservative population and perceived outdated technology, also according to Cycles of Change Recovery Services. In 2014, over 50% of felonies in Kern County, where Bakersfield is located, were related to methamphetamine.

Bakersfield is where my BIL has a restaurant and been there 20+ years that I know of, if not decades longer.    No complaints from him about Bakersfield.

There are two sides of town but you seem to not understand they do meet.

Not a fan of period dramas but if it’s Sherlock Holmes I’ll watch it 👍🏻

As an aside this is my current go to sleep aid…
