Georgealbert Posted Sunday at 09:56 PM Posted Sunday at 09:56 PM Pictures courtesy of SiamChon. The body of a newborn baby boy was discovered abandoned in a black rubbish bag on the side of the road in Pattana Kan 4 Alley, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi, on 23 March. At approximately 12:10, Pol. Col. Natchaphon Phongsuksakul, chief of Nong Prue Police Station, was alerted to the discovery by local residents. He immediately dispatched investigative officers, led by Pol. Lt. Col. Damchaluey Samkhanying, along with forensic teams and emergency rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation, to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found a large black rubbish bag abandoned near a barbed-wire fence at the edge of a wooded area. Inside the bag was a white cloth stained with blood, as well as various discarded items. The lifeless body of a newborn baby boy wrapped in a brown-patterned cloth. The infant was still attached to his umbilical cord and placenta, indicating he had been recently born. The gruesome find left both emergency responders and local residents horrified, particularly as the bag had been left exposed to the scorching midday sun. A local resident who first noticed the bag earlier that morning reported feeling uneasy, as it was unusual for rubbish to be dumped in that area. Another witness, who ultimately made the grim discovery, said they had been alerted by a passerby who spotted the remains inside the bag and called for assistance. Police are now examining CCTV footage from nearby areas and appealing to the public for any information that could help identify those responsible for abandoning the infant. Authorities are urging anyone with knowledge of a woman who may have recently given birth under suspicious circumstances to come forward. Meanwhile, the baby’s body has been taken for autopsy to determine the exact cause and time of death. -- 2025-03-24 5

Even if one decides to have an abortion, it is difficult - Quote "Over 90% of healthcare facilities don't offer abortion services. Most people don't know that the National Health Security Office (NHSO) provides an abortion subsidy of 3,000 baht. Meanwhile, the Social Security Office (SSO) has also never specified that subscribers are entitled to support for safe abortion." SAFETY FIRST Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago In the west the government would provide social security and welfare payments (thousands of dollars after the birth), garnish the fathers wages, the woman may be on maternity leave, she has income but sadly in Thailand this poor young woman (girl) has no money to support herself and baby. I'd say most of these girls are young mothers, Thailand has failed these young people, at times they have no option but to work in the sex industry. These girls in a relationship, having sex, all is going well, she and her partner make plans for the future......Sadly, only for the father to abandon her shortly after the birth of her baby. If the mother decides to keep her child without income she must leave her child with a guardian, go to work in the city but the minimum wage of around 12000 month is not enough to pay for accommodation, guardian, food, clothing, electricity, etc, now she finds herself working on Soi 6. Shame on Thailand for not providing for these young mothers.

If that's at all possible. Many Thai girls especially from up Noth see getting a boy friend as a status symbol. All's going well and along come 2 kids. The boy friend loses his job or dies in a motor cylce accident. Maybe he has always refused to go to work and when the kids come along he doe's a runner. My wife went through all of this, Shacked up at 18 yo and had her first kid at 19. She assured me if a young girl has problems when she's single then the monthly expenses such as accomodation and feeding 3-4 mouths is virtually impossible.
