More or less says it all Stayingintouch. Sadly its to late for the UK we have no free speech anymore, two tier policing and we cannot defend our rights anymore. Once you see 2 massive super markets insisting they do not sell helal in our stores says it all and Sharia is allowed in some areas of the UK you know you are defeated.

In my home country there is a minority of 20% that, literally, want to let 'everyone' in. Then there's about 20% of the populace that is like 'meh'. - Guess, to what part of the populace the government listens to? (Hint, it's not the silent 60 percent.)

Our present government was elected on lies and false promises. We cannot impeach our PM but can ask for a no confidence vote in the house of commons but because of jail threats no one will raise the issue. Think about it for a minute since Starmer has been in power 30,000 have crossed the channel since he became PM in july 24. How many do you think will arrive in the next 3 years until he is voted out, and bear in mind the size of England.

The people that support it, benefit from it, or receive benefits from the people that benefit from it.

And it is getting worse. Now by all accounts you cannot legally criticise Islam. Something is going to give and when it does it is not going to be nice or desirable but will be inevitable.

The same applies to followers of other faiths e.g. Christians, Hindus etc. The law is even-handed in its approach towards all religious beliefs or a lack of them.

The law has only recently been changed in the UK. You cannot say anything that can be considered derogatory about Islam now. This does not apply to other religions.

Yes, I left in 2005.  I'm hoping that after finally getting rid of the Tories after 14 years of disastrous government, the new Labour government will, eventually, make things better.  I admit it's been a slow start, but it's not even ben a year yet.  Not that I plan to go back, as my family are happy here.  My son is British, so I'm hoping by the time he's an adult he will be able to return to a country with full EU freedoms.
