Tea bags warning over micro plastics

The article quotes Dr. Eric Berg. Dr. Eric Berg DC, is a chiropractor and nutritionist who promotes ketosis and intermittent fasting.  Not his area of expertise.

Believe very little that comes from the redtop newspaper/websites.  Most garbage, whether left or right.

Do you really need to be a 'micro plastic' expert.

I'm a retired expat, jack of many, master of a couple, none to do with plastic, tea, or medicine ...

... BUT ...  no need to be a rocket scientist to stay informed.

Oh yea, I never buy commercially 'bagged' tea, always loose, and use stainless steel and or glass for most water storage & heating.  Just falls  under common sense.

Also only use natural fiber (cellulose) paper coffee filters, which shouldn't have micro plastic in them.

And I bet he can't tell his Tetley's Extra Strong from his Yorkshire Gold either.

The wife is always telling me that: TikTok. It's sure a mess and a PITA. I've switched to loose tea. Can pick your own strength, too.

Been drinking/using Tetley teabags since Adam was a baby, thick end of 50 years, so I got a few bits of plastic in me, go tell someone who gives a foxtrot, uniform, charlie, kilo, I certainly don't. You can't beat the original ones either, imho.

Not all teabags are suspect ,some are made of paper,Yorkshire tea bags look ok to me ,and a good brew

Anyone recommend where to buy the cheapest online uk tea bags in Thailand?

Wouldn't it be a lot better, cheaper, to just find the best tea (loose) you like, sold locally, probably import (CN / Ceylon) depending if like green or black, or other, and brew, instead of cheapest anything, and from UK, not so cheap.  Probably Ceylon tea anyway.

I always buy loose tea as well. The quality of the tea leaves is far better.

Looks are deceiving ... along with reading the very unwritten fine print.   Just buy loose tea.

with credentials like that he doesn't seem to have an actual area of expertise only woo

I stopped watching his videos because he contradicted himself in several of them.

But maybe there's microplastics in loose tea?
