Crime Brawl Erupts Among Middle Eastern Tourists in Pattaya’s Soi Yensabai

Tensions flared early morning on 17 July, as a violent brawl broke out between rival groups of Middle Eastern men, in Soi Yensabai, prompting public outcry for urgent intervention by local authorities.

 

The chaotic altercation reportedly involved dozens, mostl believed to be tourists or temporary residents from countries in the Middle East, including Kuwait. Eyewitnesses described scenes of mayhem as motorbikes were revved aggressively, punches were thrown and objects were hurled in the middle of the street, turning the otherwise normally peaceful alley into a battleground.

 

Footage circulating online shows groups confronting each other, with motorcycles parked erratically along the narrow soi. The incident, which occurred in the early hours, drew attention from locals and expats alike, who have expressed growing concern over repeated disturbances linked to street racing and gang-like behaviour by foreigners in the area.

 

 

Local residents say this is not the first time such violence has erupted in Soi Yensabai. One shop owner, who asked not to be named, said: “We’ve seen these groups gathering every night, revving engines, racing and shouting at each other. Last night it exploded into something much worse. We’re scared someone will end up seriously hurt or killed.”

 

Calls are growing for police and immigration officials to take firm action. Many residents are urging the authorities to implement stricter curfews, increase patrols and consider visa reviews for individuals found causing public disturbances.

 

In response, Pattaya Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident and reviewing CCTV footage from the area. Officers from the Pattaya City Police Station were reportedly dispatched to the scene, but reportedly only arrived 30 minutes after the fight broke out and by the time they arrived, all of the individuals involved had already fled.

 

Community groups and tourism advocates have stressed that while Pattaya welcomes visitors from all countries, it cannot tolerate lawlessness or anti-social behaviour.

When these fellows from India, Pakistan et al go to the Gulf countries to work some manage to come away with documents that they are citizens of that country; I suppose it's just a matter of $$$.

 

But this sounds interesting, I wonder who the sides are and what the animosity is.  Tough guys posing like Bombay crime movie cosplay villains is probably it.

But they can easily get different passports to come in again and again. We have some in the UK who have been imprisoned and then come back on a different passport; twice! some of these guys are professional criminals not just spoilt brats.
