A late-night confrontation on Pattaya Beach turned violent when an Indian tourist suffered a head wound after a dispute with a transgender sex worker. The incident unfolded at around 3am today on the bustling beachside strip in Chon Buri province.

 

The victim, 25-year-old Suresh, an Indian national, later reported the incident to the Pattaya City Police. According to police, the altercation began when Suresh approached a 29-year-old transgender woman to inquire about her services. She quoted 1,000 baht for a short service and 4,000 baht for an overnight stay. Suresh agreed to the higher price but allegedly insisted on confirming her gender before proceeding.

 

Investigators revealed that tensions rose when the tourist touched the worker's private parts. Feeling humiliated, the sex worker admitted to striking him with a high-heeled shoe “two to three times,” resulting in a bleeding head wound for Suresh.

 

Both parties were escorted to Pattaya City Police Station for questioning. However, the transgender woman asked to use the restroom and reportedly slipped out through a back exit.

 

Police Lieutenant Colonel Wuttinan Kongdee, the officer in charge, confirmed that legal action is being pursued. “A summons will be issued for the suspect to face charges related to the assault,” he stated.

 

The scene drew attention from late-night revellers, with one witness describing such altercations as “not unusual” but rarely leading to violence. Police are continuing their investigation and have urged the suspect to surrender voluntarily.

 

In a separate incident, another Indian tourist's night in Pattaya ended poorly after two transgender women allegedly stole nearly 41,000 baht in foreign currency.

 

Pattaya City, known for its vibrant nightlife, often encounters incidents involving tourists and local workers. Authorities are emphasising the need for visitors to exercise caution and respect local customs while enjoying the area. Police continue their efforts to resolve these situations swiftly and encourage reporting such incidents to ensure a safer environment for all.

What kind of police station allows a suspect of a violent altercation with injuries to leave unattended that she could slip out the back door unnoticed? For that matter, what kind of police station leave their back door open for anyone to leave through?

They normally slip in that way!

Where is the "I want discount, I'll call the Police".  Been in the Police station when this happened.  Police laugh and consider it a contractual obligations between two parties.  Had guy call friends to get money before he could leave.

 

Anyways always up for a good laugh with the morning coffee.

they should put signs on beach road ... "no testing out the merchandise before paying and absolutely no crotch grabbing allowed".

You know, the law is interpreted in a different way here. What the Indian did, was sexual assault, can also be considered rape here. Something that holds a quite harsh penalty. In a way of protecting herself, the ladyboy hit with a high heel shoe. Of course, a little bit overuse of violence. However, that not nearly holds the same serious penalty, so maybe the police just didn´t secure the fort out of that simple reason. They know how it is, and they know who it is. The ladyboy will get fined, over and done with. If want to press charges on the sexual assault, that can be nasty for the Indian.

We've seen the hole it makes but would really like some audio of stiletto hitting head of Indian man. 

 

The report is unclear regarding his preferred outcome of the inspection - was he checking to confirm it wasn't a ladyboy, or confirm it was a ladyboy.

After a price has been negotiated, it's no longer sexual assault.  At worst, it's theft of services.

 

I wonder if Suresh was checking that it WAS a cheezer, in the hope of getting some fun. Or if it was a lady.

Wrong! A person always has the option to change his/her mind. Here, no transaction had been made, which gives even more right to change mind. Even if a transaction has been made, the option is still there. That you came to Thailand and got a weird view of things, does not change the facts and reality.

true on accounts. however, rather than grabbing the merchandise he should have made an agreement that if she misrepresented herself and was not what he wanted then he would not need to pay. Or, rather if she was lying about her gender then the agreement would be absolved. haha..

If I say so???? You still don´t get it, right? When it comes to sharing a sexual experience, both parties must agree to that, and any of them can change that agreement at any given time, and the other part is obligated to respect that choice. As prostitution is not illegal in Thailand, but buying and selling sex are. There can´t be any room for taking such an agreement into consideration.

You're familiar with the concept of prostitution, which turns "sharing a sexual experience" into a monetary transaction right?

 

Imagine a hooker jumping up in the middle of the night and calling the cops because she changed her mind and now wants to file rape charges.  Of course she's free to change her mind, but not retroactively.

 

In the case of the OP, I don't see where anyone even said "no".  They even agreed on a price. 

 

(Besides which. I've had my crotch grabbed on several occasions walking past the ubiquitous packs of ladyboys in Pattaya, so I have zero sympathy when someone grabs one of theirs when they're out actively soliciting)
