I, too, think the Indian is telling the truth despite the BIB having misgivings.  Surely his eyes would lend veracity to the story.  I am also intrigued by what caused the injury to his elbow.

Chemical attacks are a truly heinous crime, and I think they should be treated in an entirely different category as a typical assault. Perhaps a mandatory 20 or 30 year prison sentence, or perhaps even something more severe.

They are, but they are also very common in India and very rare here. They are mostly used to disfigure and humiliate women.

Yes, this keeps happening, its like the Indians have a 'thing' for ladyboys?🫢

My biggest surprise is that there was no mention of a gold chain of some description. Perhaps the gold chains are a red flag for insurance fraud investigators and he has moved away from line of story to improve his chances of making a successful claim.

So Satish, the mango chutney ferret ended up in a lime pickle, out numbered by the chemical brothers,  after a clash of differing objectives with his counterpart.

A sympathetic police spokesman was later heard lauding the groups of young ladyboys prevalent in Pattaya, saying that despite their ongoing struggles with the changing tourist demographic, & having to make ends meet with dirty old Indian men for a living, they had still managed to find a certain Satish - faction, in their line of work...

Chicks don't have dicks?   Do they ?😄

Regardless of the circumstances here I am willing to bet that the same ladyboys are committing crimes over and over. They probably keep them in jail one night and let them go in the morning with a small fine. Isn’t it time to lock up the serial offenders and lose the key for a while ?

Or deportation to Uganda? I hear they need low wage laborers for the mines there.

Well Western society dictates that we refer to them as a woman, but for those of us that don't do PC, it's a he.

Following the encounter, Satish said an argument broke out, prompting the ladyboy to leave.

Reading between the lines the idiot probably tried to short change the ladyboy and got taught a lesson.

One of them allegedly sprayed a chemical substance into his face, causing severe eye irritation and temporary blindness.

Could that simply be pepper spray? Sure, claiming a mystery "chemical attack" sounds a lot more sensational.

In any case, my guess is that Satish is lying and just didn't pay up. He doesn't come across as an honorable man and I'll leave it there.

Can't have these ladyboys upsetting the quality tourists coming to Thailand

It could get Pattaya a bad reputation and we can't have that 🤑😱

We prefer English here.

Freelancers of any stripe are generally not trying to draw the attention of the police. They would rather provide the agreed upon service and leave with their money. They certainly are not interested in facing assault charges over small money. Stiffing a girl over less than 2000 baht is just not worth it.

He's only claiming 7k cash and a phone was nicked. Ergo, either he's really honest, or really stupid. :coffee1:

Indian (Bi) Tourists = Lady-boys = Insurance scam. Hey Einstein here is new formula!

I'll choose the 2nd choice.

So even before the cops have reviewed CTV footage, they are implying he is a liar, my guess; he  realized they weren't ladies and refused 'her' 'service'

Why would you report it to the cops if his story is not true.

For insurance reasons silly.

Agree, never heard of being able to claim cash on insurance.

Merely "OOI"

My UK bank does cover mobile phone theft and accidental damage worldwide. I think i'd need a Police report for the former.

And years ago, when i was rather naive about certain aspects of Pattaya, I was pickpocketed (ladyboy on a Baht bus) and my travel insurance did cover the cash (limited and subject to excess and a very tiresome Police report), but amusingly not the wallet. As that was a Beach Rd "knockoff" it hardly mattered.

Well, might easily be an insurance scam.

However, if legit, then let's go for a walk in theft central and show off my status.

Is the same gold used in every robberies? This bring back memories, a bar lady I was shagging years ago, her ex husband reported his car stolen, claimed the insurance and sold it in Laos. Unfortunately the BIB's where waiting for him to return to his his home in Mukdahan. He got 5 years in the nick.

Should it not be " 2 transgenders"? I thought "ladyboys" was not acceptable any more?
