UK Passport Replacement

Featured Replies

Dear All,

My UK passport has 18 months to run but was  recently damaged and I need a replacement. I'm in Pattaya. Can anyone recommend an agent who could organise this at a fair rate?
I am familiar with Maneerat and trust them with 90 days/ Annual Retirement Renewal etc.
Many thanks for any and all useful help.

Agreed.  Paul Aslett at ThaiVisaExpress offers a superb service, for Pattaya people.

I recommend MyThaiVisa.   They handle everything, including filling in the application form. All I did was sign 2 forms, give them my photos, and a phone bill to show my address in Thaialand

  • I've used Key Visa twice now to renew my UK passport. They are adjacent to Big-C South Pattaya on the side (road at the top) that can be accessed via South Pattaya Road or Sukhumvit Road.

You can do it yourself. It is not hard. It is in a building on Phra Ram 9 which you can get there from Bangkok on the MRT

Thank you. Any other agent recommendations from personal experience?

I know an agent who may be able to assist you in Pattaya. It is Viswics. They are I think near Dolphin roundabout. The web site is:

https://www.viswics.com/หน้าแรก/5bd26ebb932e961094deea4d/langEN

They don't mention passports from what I see but they may well handle such things.

Give English Support: Khun Saifon 089-719-1417 a call and see what they say.

I recommend MyThaiVisa.

They can send you everything in the post, or there's a shop in Pattaya so you could pop in.

I had a stress-free experience with them a month ago, and khun Som, who handles it all, was always available to answer any questions.

Mine took less than 4 weeks to get back.

Her number is 0934938170.

She speaks great English

MyThaiVisa.0934938170. Replaced my PP 2 months ago. Sent me all the documents with only 3 signatures required of me. (2 Power of Attorney and 1 Application). Returned the documents including a couple of ID items.

Process took Just under 6 weeks. Kept me up to date  all the time.

50 page PP total cost B12.500. Excellent service throughout.

I sent my wife to Bangkok to apply for my new passport and she goes again when it's ready. She even done my neighbours at the same time. No plom plem

I've used Key Visa twice now to renew my UK passport. They are adjacent to Big-C South Pattaya on the side (road at the top) that can be accessed via South Pattaya Road or Sukhumvit Road.

They charge 12,500bht and do everything for you. Just take your existing passport and 2 photos. You'll get emails from the courier companies with tracking details all the way through the process. Takes around 4-6 weeks. Key Visa will call you when they've got your new passport and then you just go along and collect it. Very easy.

Plus, you can do it by EMS post, wherever you live in Thailand....🤗

A new UK passport is B5000 (118 quid), a few bus trips if you are in Pattaya and save yourself B7000, that's the way I will do mine at the end of November, might even have a night out in Bangkok

It'll cost you a little more than £118 but nevertheless still enough left for a decent night out.

Me.

I have been involved in dealing with passport renewals for several years - mainly in Isaan and Sattahip face to face but, as somebody mentioned, everything can be done by EMS post.

Maneerat don’t do passport renewals, I used Key Visa, 5000 baht not including the renewal fee, saves 2 trios to VFS as you have to collect it.

From my experience you have to collect your passport, they won’t mail it to you.

Who won't?

I've used "Mark's sending machine", twice now.

Look him up on google

I used Key Visa Pattaya to renew my last passport & will use them again next year. I don't know if they can help with a damaged passport replacement. You'd have to ask

Chiang Mai

I did the VHS thing years back, 4 flights, taxis, expenses, never again.

Paid 5000bht for someone to do all the legwork all done by EMS post, they even do all the PP page copying, so for me, a no-brainer....🤗

VFS don't mail replacement passports to you, that is true, but surely any agent worth their salt would?
