TDAC question - accommodation

Featured Replies

I am visiting my TGF in a few weeks, and will have my first entry using the TDAC.

My question - I am staying in the apt that she owns. Do I need anything from her to substantiate the accommodation information I provide online?

No.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

OP, you have correct advice above.

Just for others eg visa exempt, tourist visa entry etc basically put anything as per the TM6 days..

For those that live in Thailand and returning then advise to put your correct accurate Thai address.

Eg I'm retirement extensions and currently in Oz.

For TDAC for my return, I will put my Thai address.

I'm on a LTR arriving at CM so I use my home CM address as it counts just like a tm.30 visit, but now I won't have to advise my yearly address until 10 November 2026 unless I do leave the country again.  The IO was especially noting my CM address and asked if it was accurate. Had the last tm.30 stapled in the PP so that address proved to be accurate so he was happy.  He also mentioned that if I had any problems with anyone about the LTR then I was welcome to return to the CM or CM airport immigration and they would assist me.

fill out the location on the TDAC form

When i done mine 3 weeks ago it wouldn't let me fill in the address bit on line so i left it blank, nothing was said on arrival.

The first time I used it the IO just asked if I had done it, never looked at it.

Couple of weeks ago when I came back I was talking to a guy as we disembarked. He was concerned that although he had done it, he never got the email, probably went to junk folder.

I saw him again at baggage reclaim and asked how he got on. No problem, said he just handed her the passport and she stamped him in, nothing said.

What happens if you don't fill out a TDAC before arrival ?

There is kiosks at the arrival you can do it onsite before immigration. However when I arrived last week, there where chaos with the que starting all the way down at the entrance to the immigration.

You can fill it out after arrival, even while standing in the Immigration queue. But if you get up to the officer without having completed it, you will be sent back to the beginning of the line to get it done.
