ICE Agent Fatally Shoots US Citizen in Minneapolis Raid

An US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent fatally shot a 37-year-old US citizen woman in Minneapolis during an immigration operation on Wednesday. Video footage showed a heavy presence of federal and local officers at the scene, along with crashed cars and yellow police tape. The incident occurred near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue, drawing significant public attention and reactions.

The woman, identified as a US citizen by Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith, was accused by immigration authorities of attempting to run officers over with her car. Sen. Smith called for ICE to leave, citing safety concerns, while urging Minneapolis residents to remain safe amidst the volatile situation. Mayor Jacob Frey criticised the presence of immigration agents, claiming they were “causing chaos” and pushing for their immediate departure.

This incident echoes previous confrontations involving federal agents, such as those in Chicago during Operation Midway Blitz under the Trump administration. One notable case involved Silverio Villegas González, who was fatally shot in Franklin Park after fleeing a car stop, and another where Marimar Martinez was shot multiple times during a confrontation in Brighton Park. Both incidents, involving alleged assaults and subsequent public protests, highlighted tensions between federal operations and local communities.

The US Department of Homeland Security has announced an ongoing immigration enforcement operation involving 2,000 agents in the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas. This operation is part of a larger effort linked to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents. We expect public concerns and official calls for changes in enforcement strategies to persist in response to these aggressive federal actions, reported WBEZ Chicago.

Key Takeaways

  • An ICE agent shot and killed a US citizen woman in Minneapolis during an operation.

  • Local leaders demand the removal of ICE, citing safety and public unrest.

  • Similar past incidents highlight ongoing tensions in immigration enforcement.

In a typical and absolutely foolish manner the cowboy-hat-wearing Kristi Noem declared this an act of domestic terrorism before the victim's body was even cold.

Looking at the attached vid this was very bad from the ICE officer. Sadly this was always going to happen. It's not, however, all down to ICE. No sanctuary cities, governors assisting in federal law enforcement rather than resisting and inflammatory rhetoric from the Dems and MSM and this woman would still be alive. Obviously if she complied with law enforcement the outcome also would have been different. I am in no way defending the ICE officer who discharged his weapon several times, as it seems he was out of harms way from the car.

The US will have a civil war long before they invade Greenland.

Cold blooded murder.

According to plan.

Learn from history but it's really too late for that.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet Murikkka goes under martial law before the year's end. THAT would put an end to the mid-term elections.

It is bad enough that this happened. But to know that people at the top who have watched the same video care less about the death than about their "agenda", to still lie about what we all can see is the truth is discussing.

I said on here a few times, there won't be any mid-term elections and if they are, they won't be free and fair.

Full blown murder, he'll be in the same cell block as Officer Chauvin..........kinda lookin like 1933 Germany if you've seen and history documentaries......scary <deleted>te.

That's obviously Trump's intention.

His people are working different angles towards that goal.

Martial law in blue states is obviously a more likely one.

For those who say, Trump would never do anything that bad, what planet are you on?!?

Woman murdered while trying to escape unidentified masked and armed men.

Supporters of this obscenity will be along as soon as they’ve received their scripted talking points.

It's perfectly clear in the video she was not driving at the agent, she was trying to get away.

Analysis in those circumstances is not self defense for the agent, but offensive action.

The US isn't going to invade Greenland. They're going to buy it.

A trained cop would not have fired in this situation, his ICE partner who attempted to open her locked door as she was pulling away front wheels turned hard right was 12-15 inches away from the bullets path.........he ain't no Delta Operator for that kind of risk........

A trained cop will not attempt to open her car door without justification.

Law enforcement officers are explicitly trained to never place themselves in the path of a moving or potentially moving vehicle. What a clown to make such claim Johnny.

I don't claim to be the expert, but I saw an ex FBI agent claim the exact same thing.

I'm pretty sure in the future, that this type of issue will be a thing of the past. With all the electronic nannies in cars now, I would bet that in the future officers will have the ability to remotely disable cars, and not release them until the stop is over. A 4000lb weapon in the hands of someone who refuses to stop is a huge issue.

ICE do not have the authority to detains US Citizen, they have zero right to interfere with a US Citizen.

She did not ram any ICE officers.

ICE have no authority to detain a U.S. citizen.

The citizen victim was exercising her right to go about her own business without interference from ICE.

She wasn't free to interfere with the work of ICE.

Which is exactly what she was doing. When challenged, she rammed the ICE officers.

Had she gone about her own business she'd still be with us.

A protester obstructing ICE Agents. I'm sorry for her child.

Where is that?

It doesn't look like she actually hit the ICE agent in the video posted by the OP, certainly not in any meaningful way that justifies shooting her.

There's a test we use for self defence and it is about whether the perp is coming towards you or going away from you. i.e. attacking you or fleeing, it's fairly clear she was fleeing.

I guess you haven't seen the angle from the front which clearly shows her hit the agent before he fires.

Apparently, she was an anti-ICE protestor.

Imagine losing your life protecting criminals. What a waste.

People see what they want to see. I don’t have a dog in this fight (baulk at immigration in my own country), but that car was clearly attempting to get out of there as opposed to flattening anyone. Why not just shoot the tyres out?
