Just wanting to reaffirm earlier comments by me.

A very wise (older) lady sat me down one time and said ... David, marry your best friend.

Love and lust mostly is an ephemeral feeling ... but if you marry your best friend you have someone you care deeply about and it is an enduring love.

Why I am lucky is that I have been able to find someone with whom I share all the love, lust and friendship in one package.

OH ... BTW she's mine (and I'm hers) ... but she does have two (older ... but not much) unmarried sisters ...

My best friend plays rugby but.....

And I'm back here in Bangkok working for a couple of weeks whilst her and our daughter are back in London working and studying. Thanks to Skype I see them daily, really miss 'em.

speaking the same language doesn't mean that a couple are going to understand each other. Men and women are from different planets.

If it is already so difficult to understand these creatures from a different planet, how can not being able to speak the same language make it any easier? Personally I do not adhere to that quaint truism that women are somehow unfathomable.

I did business in Switzerland for 40 years and English customers thought that the fact that we could speak English together would help communication. It did, but only up to a point. I don't understand human beings, let alone women, gimme a break will you?
