Watched 'Whiplash' last night, and thought it excellent. The drum solo finale is impressive, as are the performances of the two leads.

Back to TV series, 'Fortitude', a new series from Sky Atlantic, and with a notable cast, has just started. Episode 1 of what I believe will be 10 available for download now:

Been watching quite an original comedy series that's now into it's 3rd episode. "Catastrophe', actually written by the two main characters, is well made and some original (and adult) dialogue:

Last week tonight with John Oliver is back for a second season. Even though it's news topical if you haven't watched the first season I would recommend it. One episode resulted in an official protest from the thai govt and him becoming person non grata in Thailand. In another he interviews Steven Hawking which is one of the funniest interviews I've seen.

fargo is excellent

"Fresh off the boat " is good for some light watching. Series about a Chinese family that moves from Chinatown in Washington DC to Orlando to open an American steakhouse.

I have not seen Better Call Saul but I would guess it is very good. Breaking Bad was great. So many twists and turns and never boring.

Hmmmm......not bad, but, not overly impressed, either.

Will watch a couple more episodes before I make up my mind.

For many years I resisted watching the US version of The Office. Probably because I thought the UK version was just so good and unique.

To my surprise, the US version is also very good. Different (as it had to be), but, still very good.
