Some decent posters still around today, no doubt, but the real interesting niks have either been banned or jumped ship many moons ago.

It's been all downhill since they banned "The Gentleman" - the guy who claimed to be in the SAS - back in 2004.

Was he banned or did he simply flounce? I recall he had some health problems and his real estate business went tits up there in Phuket so he moved to Bangkok and then disappeared. He was really fun to wind up though!

I don't think there is anything negative about doing this -- it's called "appealing to your base". What is negative is dragging down the opposition and Jingthing and I didn't do that with the appeals to our hometown forums.

The other candidates could think about where their "hometowns" are on ThaiVisa -- perhaps it's just the Farang Pub where the contest originated. Fine. I guess their options are limited. But, don't fault Jingy and me for playing our networks.

I think your actions were quite clever, when ND did the same for the Cat, we were outmanoeuvred, you had a much stronger base in your particular area than we did, I would suggest it goes in eras, this would not have been the case in the past. However, what is done is done, it is a two horse race, I wish you both luck, I guess you both wanted it more than the rest, and remember, me and ND did it with a smile.

I had never seen this competition before....I somehow overlooked it during previous years. In hindsight I now recall someone having a shot about David being poster of the year some months ago....I thought the person was just being nasty.

I had no idea that you douchebags really thought this was serious.

As UG pointed out....I swapped and changed constantly....I did it for all to see and I sent dozens of pm's too.....I'm glad at least old UG was paying attention.....yes I stand guilty for taking the Piiissss.

Seriously, it's has to be a joke. Anyway a few people really showed their stripes. My position never really changed, I'm just here laughing at some real tightly wound retards. I had every intention of doing a campaign for the Cat, you just beat me to it, so I went along with it, I really do wish we had succeeded, we both had to wait a nomination.
