Well she has been running spotty since.

Had to call for pick-up when she died on the road today.

Turns out the rubber fuel line was installed with a kink in it.

All sorted at B500 incl pick-up.

Running super-duper again.

Before sorting,

papa thought .... maybe dirty carby, sticky float,

so dumped a 120ml can of fuel system cleaner

[50-baht; good for up to 25-liter fuel]

into the 5 liters in tank.

Maybe that helps with the super-duper feel.

Had the 80/90-17 Mich Street Pilot 2

installed on the ceeber front today.

1000baht.

The front axel prolly hadn't been pulled in 7 years or so

and the threaded end of axel was somehow buggered.

They brought out the dies and messed with it for 20 minutes

until the threads were all true again.

They also transferred the balance beads to new tire.

No extra charge.

1000baht total.

iMoto, excellent profession shop.

That's interesting I had a MGB with wire rims and they had to take the tyres off to tighten and true the rim spokes up.

So long as the wheel is not in contact with the floor, not an issue if the tire is on.

On my chicken chaser , yesterday, put a different variator and different weights. Still breaking it in. I aimed for 6500 during acceleration now I'm getting 6200. So I still have a bit of tweaking/drilling to do.

Could anyone recommend a battery for my 2010 Kawasaki D-Tracker? Before I left thailand I decided to replace the cheap battery that has been in the bike for over 5 years & buy a YUASA battery, my girlfriend had been starting the bike for me just to get the oil circulating & used my Oxford optimizer charger to keep the battery full charged, just over a year the battery was dead & wouldn't charge up, so at the moment I'm still stuck in the u.k & was looking for a cheap battery just to use till i return, ive seen some cheap batteries on lazada & a friend of mine said to try shoppee.....

Cheers

Nice bike, could you recommend a battery for my Kawasaki 250 D-Tracker? I bought a YUASA Battery before returning to the u.k that was dead just after a year, so I just want something cheap till I can return......

Cheers

I no longer have the bike but I did change if for the same make if I rememeber.  6-months I used it with no issues.  Actually, within that 6 months I rode it 4 times.  Bike started with no issues.   In your post above you say just over a year.  That's not bad going if the bike wasn't used other than just to run it on idle from time to time.

I bought a Chang battery to try out couldn't believe how they are so cheap 12v 5amp and have found no fault so far.

Had one neally a year and reads no lost on the multimeter reading.
