Smartly dressed farang caught on CCTV brazenly shoplifting in Market Village Hua Hin

HH.jpg

This is the moment a smartly dressed middle aged Western man was caught on CCTV stealing a 690 baht bag from a shop in Market Village Hua Hin.

Footage clearly shows the man looking at the bag before carefully placing it between two plastic bags he was also carrying and walking off without paying for the item.

The incident, which happened right under a CCTV camera, is believed to have taken place on January 24 with the item stolen from the Army apparel store located next to the escalators in the basement of Market Village.

The owner of the store shared the footage on Facebook asking for help in identifying the thief.

Anyone who recognises the man us urged to contact Wekin Kayantham‎ on 0866903096

Idiot!  Clear views on not one, but TWO cameras!  Identify, arrest, convict, 6 months in a Thai prison, deport & blacklist.

Is the fact that he is probably a tourist of interest?

Can you imagine the New York Times saying, "well dressed African....." or the Guardian writing, "well-dressed Asian......"

It's a big risk to take for 690 baht. He looks like he spends that much on a day's food and drink.

Here is a thought, instead of playing on the your phone or playing with some body parts, how about doing some work and assisting customers, this way there would be no theft, Anyone see sales assistant offering any help or even greeting he customer?

Not saying theft is acceptable, but in cases like this, clearly shop assistant is nowhere to be seen
