I doubt that, it would mean going to Bangkok, they are committed now. They could smuggle themselves over an unofficial crossing and get picked up by the Cambodians, they've got no chance, a pretty stupid attempted escape, they've just made things a whole lot worse.

I wonder if the American has money hidden away somewhere?  The drug business can be lucrative. 
So he probably went for the money first , then they split up.  If he is smart enough he will change his appearance, with a wig or moustache, but he does not look like a smart guy so probably not. 

Nice to see light hearted comments here when a foreigner is involved in the death of a Thai. Hope it continuous when next month a police clearance certificate of some type is introduced for all foreigners residing here.

Actually this is probably pretty close to the truth....No one and do mean no one gets a loaded hand gun and knife into a jail with out big help...Never mind the get away vehicle..

 

The truth is they were most likely a lot safer in jail than out of jail....

I love a prison escape story. PIty the American is not called Bart Simpson!
