Luxury condo owners get homeless man’s shack torn down

 

PATTAYA:-- Pattaya municipal officers scooped up a homeless man who’d built himself a ramshackle shed on Jomtien Second Road.

Residents of the luxury condos nearby called city hall to complain about the unsightly hut and the trash littered around it Nov. 11.

Municipal police showed up, tore down the shack and packed off man to the Chonburi Protection Center for the Destitute.

If they had an ounce of decency they'd have arranged for him to be relocated to a cheap room. They could afford it if they all had one less beer a day.

Dreadful behaviour of lowlife people that believes they own the world, instead of at least talking to the man and giving him food for the day.

They are just unhappy because they have to see every day how little one needs for life.

In defence of the "luxury condo folk" I walk by that camp and the man has obvious mental heath issues better suited for the center where he will be going, and he did make a huge mess and a strange shrine of garbage not at all like most all indigent Thai people who are just trying to survive.

If it's that patch of waste ground just past the Hannuman statue it's been a dumping ground / toilet for the tourbus drivers since the restaurant shut down.

It starts with one. Then a friend comes. And soon you have an entire village and a whole bunch of bleeding hearts NGO <deleted> implementing lifetime fundraising appeals.

 

Seems to be a lot of TV members jealous of so-called “wealthy condo owners”. Back to your slops trays boys. Nothing wrong with having some money, nor in not wanting your investment devalued by having a slum spring up next to it.
