Which country are parsnips generally sourced?  Interested to know as my Thai wife loves the UK grown varieties due to the sweetness and texture.  Never heard of Thai parsnips, though could be wrong. Thanks.

I bought some in Villa Supermarket a few years ago. Pretty expensive though.

The ones in Thailand are imported from Australia, and are

expensive,they could grow them here,as they are already

growing carrots,Kohlrabi,and leeks, I wish the kings Project here in

Chiang Mai would grow them ,swedes as well,

I think the Royal Project may grow them.  I purchased some several months ago in the Royal Project section of Gourmet Market; Emporium.  Perhaps grown on a small scale, most going to restaurants.

I like roasted vegetables and the parsnips I roasted along with cauliflower & leeks were delicious.

Tesco long grain rice £2.25kg. In Thailand not very much.

 

Imported products can be expensive in any country, although I take your point that certain imported foods in Thailand are a bit shocking.

We're not in the UK, we're in Thailand!   The UK price is irrelevant to the OP's question which was "where can I buy parsnips" (in Bangkok).  What have soup prices in the UK got to do with parsnips' price in Bangkok?
