The manager Khun Boonchai is such a kind and understand man . Goes the every effort to do a great job. They also have amazing mechanics. My roof had problems and would not retract , Mercedes Benz in Pattaya quote me 95,000 baht .Fix zone fixed it for 15,000 baht !!!! That was 5 years ago they did this job. Now living in Chiang Rai and still working great .

According to their Facebook page they did this car 2 months ago.

Could it be that you are lying to us to promote their business and this isn't even your car?

Interesting post and good to hear of a satisfied customer...

So what exactly did they do this time?

From looking your car was originally black. They have changed the interior, new leather upholstery and/or new seats? New wheels, lights etc and front grill? Has it been re-painted or just wrapped?

Looks like they got the car in August so how long did it take and how much was the final bill? ????

Many thanks :wai:

The engine was reconditioned as well as the gearbox. I love the old cars and now I have an old car with a new look .  Cheers mate ..oh and i am not a hairdresser    haha

The colour was green before..  New leather put on seats,  the wheels are standard, the car was stripped, engine out roof off ,  and then a full repaint .the interior console was from a 2017 model ,i brought from Germany  the made the front spoiler and hand made the whole dash as well as the piano black wood trim ,carpets, roof lining, pioneer sound system, , door trims were hand made . The hood (bonnet) was cut down to fit the spoiler and the new 2017 grille. The cost was 275000 baht. The paint was glazurit , done in a proper paint booth. The engine and gearbox have been reconditioned. The roof was taken off to paint that seperate from the body .  Now i have a car which I like and the comfort as well . I was going to sell this one  and look at others but they all needed work . So i went ahead with this . So happy I did ...happy New year

Buy a new one, 0% interest deals available. Friend just got the latest one.

I like the older ones , as when you restore them you know what you have got . And the imported Mercedes , new ones are bloody expensive

Had this 1938 sloper in Aus done a full restoration on it .plus old Jaguars , fords , chev

I used to take my SLC there for its regular service when I lived in Bangkok.  No complaints with workmanship.  It's an official Mercedes service centre, and there are a few English speakers working there.  (Now that I have retired and moved out of Bangkok, I take it to a local guy who trained as a Mercedes mechanic.  I think he does just as good a job, and is far cheaper than any official centre, but he doesn't speak English.)

This is what I wrote on MB-EQ FB page

Took the car to Keng Hong Tong (ChaengWattana) on Monday and informed them that I think the car is sitting higher than before and on reversing out of our driveway my wife heard an unusual noise from the rear n/s.

My wife spoke to K.Phanudeth for some time and then he organised for me to talk to a Tech Guy in English.

They asked us to bring the car in Tuesday evening so that they could work on the car the following day.

They did keep my wife updated and we looked at the car Thursday lunchtime…it was still under test to see how the suspension settled. We called back later and picked it up 4:30pm.

Their staff again spent some time telling my wife why and what they had done. They didn’t find a fault but reinstalled the suspension software as ‘something’ was out of spec. It now sits a little lower.

Also they reinstalled the Control Unit Power Train Software…I think this was a recall and would have been carried out at the next service anyway.

Whilst chatting we gathered that this model has had a few problems namely…

Air Suspension units …

Air Suspension Compressor…

Air Conditioning Compressor…

Engine Water Pump...

I was quite impressed with everything about KHT.

So not a service...

apparently, sometimes it is necessary to reinstall the AirMatic software more than once and it takes some time for the system to settle out before you can measure the heights.

Actually, I was aware of the problems that the car might have because these are frequently discussed on the MB-EQ LINE and FB.

Anyone  who has one, and intends to keep it maybe well advised to purchase the year four and five warranty. This applies to both the C and the E.
