I don't think it has dawned on the EU that we are leaving, what is wrong with them, we don't want to be following any of their laws, that was the whole point of Brexit, do you think they will ever get it. We are not just out, we are out out. Their cash cow will be moving to greener pastures so we can cut back on the milking. Wake up EU.????

Imaging you have free trade for decades and then someone introduces harsh border controls and they call it progress.   Someone should have mentioned that in 2016. How many people would have

  • It wasn't free trade, we had to pay an annual rent for it, didn't you know?   It's reminding Mr Barnier that the EU doesn't get free exports to the UK, something the Germans have gotten us

We don't care what the EU says, we have made our position very clear, it is up to them whether they want to negotiate or dictate, our new man is not Olly Robbins.

Its the UK that trying to dictate. All feed by the belief in British exceptionalism. The EU has not changed its position since before the referendum. They set out what the position would be. The UK still does not know what its position is.

Brexiteers refused to believe it because "They need us more than we need them".

Turns out that was wrong.

TrueBlue and former Red wall members!  If the EU want to behave in the way it is! Barnier et al that's fine ! UK does what it has to! Now you europhiles who arent " pure bred ". Maybe "half cast", can go to one of the failing project states

  • Popular Post

Wait for EU governments, whose economies would suffer badly with tariffs, to pressure EU mafia leadership! And if nothing happens ,fine! The project is terrified of a successful trading nation on its doorstep

I appreciate nothing will ever change your opinion of your beloved EU. As for quoting "They need us more than we need them" that remains to be seen, I don't see the UK running around like headless chickens trying to balance the books like the leaders of the EU are doing, sorry if I upset your feelings by saying something possitive about the UK, I know how much it must hurt you.

Nothing but bad news for the Brexiteers at present.

Donald furious with Boris over Huawei, now Boris is not going to the US till at least June.

Aussie reps shun the UK, and the Japanese have said no deal with the UK until the UK's trading position with the EU is settled.

In other words the EU is more important.

So which other big economies to rival the EU can we quickly strike up a 'good deal' with?

Um......China! Yea

Are you happy about the EU stance, do you want the talks to fail, is it in the interest of future talks to dictate to the other side before even saying bonjour. But if nothing else David you are putting a brave face on things, that's the spirit.????????

What news? There is nothing there. Just more PF.

Another stock answer to anything the brexiteers do not like.

It was supposed to be the easiest trade deal in history, but of course it will be maintained that the FT or any other media are quoting something that never got said.

“I think that on trade issues and the mechanism for future relations, which we are going to start on, we are going to rip each other apart,” said Jean-Yves Le Drian at the Munich security conference. “But that is part of negotiations: everyone will defend their own interests.”

It is Bojo way or the highway.

Talks will start in earnest next month, with negotiations expected to take place in both Brussels and London. Boris Johnson has said he would rather leave without a trade agreement and trade on WTO terms than follow EU rules.

And talking about highway, or should it be sloway.

The government is bracing for Brexit disruption at the end of the year with £60m plans for a moveable concrete barrier to prevent traffic jams sparked by cross-Channel chaos.

Transport secretary Grant Shapps confirmed that no-deal plans for metal barriers on the M20 motorway in Kent have been scrapped in favour of a San Francisco-style moveable barrier.

Just remember what this arrogant bureaucratic configuration of states wants. It's basically saying " trade with us and abide by " regulatory allignment" that's our rules. Ok that's fine but when you (UK) trade with other countries you have to also abide by our "EU rules".  So you can see why any self respecting country is going to say "**** off" . The EU don't even want to allow UK to have a deal that's similar to Canada and other free trading states! All you need to know about how this corrupt 50 year project will die!

You mean we could end up with the same trade deal that the EU has with the US, China and Australia? ????

Bojo has taken over the treasury to keep all that out of sight. Nothing short of delusion to think that the UK won the lottery with brexit.

No need to imagine anything, some of us remember what it was like - a huge deterrent to trade.

But you have lost one of the biggest slices of your cake, the slice we have taken with us is about the same size as your cake, the main difference is that you have more mouths to feed with your cake and before long all you will be left with is a pile of crumbs.????????

My "stock answer" was fair comment on bannork's link in post 440, which was essentially fact less - similar to the loopy PF links above.

You understand the intricacies of the food import business better than those who actually are engaged in it? It's clear that what you are engaged in is faith-based forecasting. Can you also tell us the date of Jesus' return?
