I was thinking when we go to the mall IF they have someone posted at the door I’ll probably put the mask on but I will protest a little unless there’s a lot of people. If no one is guarding the door at the mall then of course I won’t wear a mask. Reverse social engineering. But my wife and I will respectfully explain how it delivers germs to your face and explain why we won’t sign in because 1000 people before us really have touched that pen, counter, and paper so definitely will not sign in but we’re willing to put up with the masks in the mall only a little bit until probably July after they finish the final phase.

Take your own pen, use the QR code. Wear a clean mask every day. Really pathetic excuses for being a dick.

I wear a mask in public because its the law and I don't wish to cause alarm to/offend others.

Someone who refuses to wear a mask is doing so to say "Look at me, I'm a rebel, I refuse to wear a mask, try making me". Extremely childish and, no doubt someone who has serious issues with self worth. Don't you realise that people don't think, "What a man, true American hero" when you enter a shop without a mask, they think, "What a tosser, typical American".

His nationality I don't know. But you are correct! What a selfish, childish tosser! Just the type of farang that brings a bad name to farangs ! Thank you for  obviously thinking and considering other people and for respecting the laws of a country you are a guest in! Don't ever forget that, if you have ever considered it, which I doubt!!

Every person that I have met or seen videos of on the net who take that attitude to wearing masks, have been American. Not just American but members of the MAGA crowd too. Not being bigoted, just stating a fact.

Asthma is not an issue for surgical or cloth masks. Only N95 ones. You have the responsibility to keep clean masks. You can also carry your own pen.

Follow the rules here.

Otherwise irresponsible actions further antagonize Thais against all foreigners.

I will tell you what we will do that again but next time we won’t even humor them in the door. We’re not sick. And a few Thai people agreed with us at the mall today. I will always do exactly this!!

You may be infected and not know it. A large percentage of Covid cases are asymptomatic. It's proven already that asymptomatic cases are also infectious.

I find your behavior massively obnoxious and massively irresponsible.

Most children know better than you.

Not only your behavior but your trollish obsession with trying to recruit others to behave so horribly.

Shame on you.

What medical school taught you about asthma ???? actually never mind lol I’m done writing today.

I have asthma myself for decades and have researched the issues of masks and asthma. You're using a fake excuse. You're not fooling anyone.

I think to prove your point here you really need to do better than "a few".  "The majority" or quoting a percentage higher than 50% for who agreed to your selfish behaviour would carry more weight.  I mean lets face it there a still a "few" people who agree with the rubbish thats oozes from Trumps mouth but the majority know thats all it is..

Here, let me give you an example of your twisted logic.....

In Thailand, the number of Covid deaths per 1 million population is 0.8. That is in a country employing mask wearing in public. In the UK, where mask wearing is not required, that number is 558/1 mil.

Hence, by not wearing a mask, you increase your risk of dying by a factor of 7000:1

Well, by that logic you definitely shouldn't wear a mask. In Lesotho there are two cases and zero deaths.

But they don't wear masks in Lesotho.

So if Lesotho has 0 deaths but Thailand has 57 deaths, so a whopping 0.8 deaths per 1 million whereas Lesotho has 0 deaths per 1 million but does not wear masks, well then, I'm afraid you're increasing your risk of dying by wearing masks by a factor of 80%.

Of course some evil tongues will say that neither Thailand's nor Lesotho's death figures can be trusted since neither test in a credible way.

No chance of that. I've never been a fan of Trump's alternative facts.

Also, I'm comfortable in my own skin, I don't have to refuse to wear a mask to make up for the fact that I've got a tiny wiener. Same as Thais with their pickups.

Keep dreaming mask apologist.

Soon the entire mask nonsense will be consigned to the dustbin of fear where it crawled out of.

Lockdown is already on the way out. Masks will be too.

Just a matter of time.

When did I loose my freedoms when I was asked to wear a mask?  I did not, as I do not have to wear a mask if I wish to stay in my own residence and not be amongst others. However, in order to ensure not only my health and safety but also the health and safety of others, wearing a mask just makes sense in the situation we are currently dealing with.  Lets put it this way, continue to choose your battles to win whatever war you believe you are caught in and stop trying to push your agenda on how freedoms have been taken away from you with wearing a mask.  Become a person who looks at the bigger picture and does not cut off his nose to spite his face because he/she believes the world is conspiring against them.  What you choose to do in your own residence is your choice.  When you go out into the public respect others by following the rules that have been put in pace.  Trying so hard to circumvent things just comes from hate and discontent. It really is not that hard to be a conscientious member of any society, especially not your own countries, and to wear a mask, it will not impede your life forever unless you let it invade your mind and make you have a mental breakdown from overthinking the ease of it all.

There is no logical reason to rush ending the mask requirements in higher risk indoor spaces.

Don't think so, just came from IT Square mall in Laksi. At the Foodland Supermarket/Restaurant there is a large sign at the door that masks must be worn entering and while shopping. If you don't have a mask or buy one then they will give you take out from the restaurant of have a clerk do some shopping for  you and bring products to the door for you but you are not entering the store.

When I wear a mask in public:
???? I want you to know that I am educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus.
???? No, I don’t “live in fear” of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
???? I don’t feel like the “government is controlling me;” I feel like I’m being a contributing adult to society and I want to teach others the same.
???? The world doesn’t revolve around me. It’s not all about me and my comfort.
???? If we all could live with other people's considerations in mind, this whole world would be a much better place.
???? Wearing a mask doesn’t make me weak, scared, stupid, or even “controlled.” It makes me considerate.
???? When you think about how you look, how uncomfortable it is, or what others think of you, just imagine someone close to you - a child, a father, a mother, grandparent, aunt, or uncle - choking on a respirator, alone without you or any family member allowed at the bedside.
???? Ask yourself if you could have sucked it up a little for them.

White House health expert Anthony Fauci said he wears a mask to be a 'symbol' of what 'you should be doing'

https://www.yahoo.com/news/white-house-health-expert-anthony-015739353.html

  • He acknowledged that masks are "not 100% effective" at preventing infection, but said it is also out of respect for one another.

  • "It's sort of respect for another person and have that other person respect you," Fauci said. "You wear a mask, they wear a mask, you protect each other."

Which was my point......If people love the masks wear them wear them and keep wearing them.....Covid will never go away so there will never be a after Covid.....The mask need to be made part of your permanent lifestyle......

And the non mask wears can continue enjoying the freedom of a mask free life like they have for the past 3 months....And they might even consider being called a inconsiderate jerk a badge of honor.....

As another member suggested, should Covid-19 be around for a long time, what will expat mask deniers do if it remains law, like wearing a helmet, for example.

Will they move to a non-mask enforcement country?  ????

Ask yourself this.  Why would the fashion designers now be preparing the next years clothing lines with matching designer masks if there was no need to be wearing a mask....Think hard and long before you answer the question.
