The pair of you should have walked away.......

Unfortunately the nearest similar store was 70 kms or more away, and the builder needed light fittings and paint now. Thailand is full of very ignorant people with zero common sense, and that is very frustrating. We just have to live with it.

...Being tracked like dogs...

"tracked" is the operative word. It is about contact tracing, ie in case somebody on the bus is found to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 after the trip it must be possible to contact you to inform you about the possibility the you may have been infected on the bus. Perhaps somebody read the posts on Thaivisa from foreigners who boasted that they provide false ID and address details and wanted to make sure that he got it correct.

Returned from almost a month of travel Pattaya to Northern Thailand I travelel on buses the whole trip except 2 trips on trains no issues at all. The trains have you fill out the form i have posted here but they dont even look at it when they check your ticket or did not look at mine rather.SRTCovid19Form2.pdf

Why do you assume he knows your personal details? You are only another farang that could have just arrived.

He is just doing what he was told to do, so why get PO with him. Take it up with the government.

You are an alien in LOS, you have no "rights". That's only a nanny state western country thing.

A few weeks ago I was made to sit outside a Home Shop store as I was a foreigner, while my wife shopped inside and had to send me photos of potential purchases. The fact that I hadn't been out of the country for weeks made no difference. "You farang." Pathetic.

They've just begun building a Global House opposite, so hopefully they'll be forced out of business. I wonder how many staff will have the forethought to apply for jobs at GH before they lose their job at HS....

They don't know if you are telling the truth- did you show them your passport with the latest arrival date?

It's just something decided by management, so no need to get antsy with people just doing what they have been told to do.

Farang custom there is so insignificant that they won't care if you never go back.

Farangs that think they are special just because they are in Thailand have, IMO, delusions. We are just farangs and worthy of no special consideration.

Dear Thai apologist

I was indeed 'special' in that I was singled out and refused entry. But as we all know, only foreigners are rich enough to travel out of the country and Thais never do as they are poor. I didn't see any Thais being asked for their passport to check they hadn't been out of the country.

And here's something else - only that one store refused me entry. I have been able to go into Tesco Lotus, Big C and Makro where there is far less space and far more bunching together of people.
