Pattaya: Man steals 200,000 baht from a temple - then goes on bargirl spending spree!

Featured Replies

Justice here in my opinion would not be imprisonment , it would be having to 666 days of 12 hours labour every day for 2 years for free (200,000/300)

  • At least the monks seem to see the funny or ironic side to the story. Probably brings back a few memories on how they ended up in the temple.

Goodness gracious, fancy stealing from the monks, he needs hung drawn and quartered for that.????

Absolutely! (in the same vein)   but - "Phra Somjet said it would be marvelous if the beneficiaries of his largesse handed back the money and the amulets."  I'm guessing it would be more like ... Miraculous !! :whistling:

As punishment he should go into a monastery...  oh hang on!

The money ended up in the same place, just a different person spending it

The monk seems to be enjoying his tales of debouchery. The dudes in the background however seem to be old Pattaya hands "that all you did? Meh".

Several temples have invested on Soi 6.

Aha, the famous Somchai I've heard so many TVF members referring to over the last few years. Now I can put a face to the name.

Wow, he surely gets around and always seems to involved in some nefarious, criminal, or simply stupid situation or another. Or does he have a twin brother?

It's a big family of identical brothers. About 15M of them, at least.

OK. I suspected something like that was true but just didn't want to accept it.

That must have been very hard on the mother. Just karma I guess.
