If they were looking for someone to head this program in 2002 then who got the job ? Which Thai national is qualified, what are their objectives, timescales and budget ? If they specialised they might be successful I.e. rocket engines, sensor tech or big data processing. Just wondering ????

daily confirmation that the current thai govt is out of touch with thai people

How can the unelected "PM" and his generals who are mostly educated at Military Academies have anything

to do with space programs?

They'll need a farang driver as Thais don't know how to brake/steer. I'd volunteer but don't trust anything built by Thais from parts purchased from Lazada.

I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a Thai trying to launch a spacecraft - they can barely drive road vehicles. It'll probably crash into the moon or hit a satellite.

Brake failure??

Just creating another possibility for more graft and corruption. Did they spend the money from the submarine and high speed train purchases already, or are they just unusually greedy?

Such space cadets this Government is.  One can always find humor in the types of adventures they try and entertain as a reality when it is far from being a possibility.

This confirms my theory on how seized narcotics and hallucinogenics are disposed of in this country ????

I hope there is an international comittee that signs off on space launches and stuff, I don't want them to bring their traffic attitude to space.

And rightfully so.

Countless village streets covered in potholes and without proper lighting;

schools that have to make do with ancient, broken furniture and lack adequate learning tools;

community health centers that look like they've been stuck in the 1950s;

a laughably bad retirement program, where the elderly receive 500 baht a month (or even less);

most towns without waste water treatment facilities whatsoever;

government agencies that still shuffle reams of paper instead of having joined the digital age;

an army of underpaid policemen who have to resort to extortion and graft to make ends meet;

and so on and so on.

But hey, Thailand NEEDS to go to the moon.

And who is going to steer that spacecraft? A Thai? May the gods have mercy on whoever else is out there. It's going to be space carnage.

Same as China and India , no social conscience . I suppose they consider their poorest folks are well supported and have a good standard of living .    These countries need to come under the spotlight and their welfare management exposed or lack of .

   It feels like a dereliction of basic humanity care and i'm alright Jack  .

They can use the group that built my house for ship construction. Houses and rocket ships are almost identical.

But I strongly recommend putting the plumbing and wiring in conduits on the outside of the ship. Burying them in floors and walls didn't work out well for me. Oh, and put PVC glue on the conduit joints this time. Don't worry about ground wires either since there is no ground in space. Duh!

Although there are numerous examples of the legendary Thai expertise in concrete work all around us I suggest other materials for the ship hull.

Headlights, taillights, mirrors, brakes, and mufflers are not required and helmets are optional. Same same all vehicles in the Kingdom. Warning : Amulets don't work past earth's atmosphere but on the upside there is very little to collide with and no speed limits.

I think this will turn out quite well for Thailand. I would buy a ticket to watch the liftoff, from a safe distance of course, like 200km.

Are you suggesting they use the confiscated drugs to make the rocket high?

Brilliant!

The little payload that I've developed transmits signals in various different digital modes, to enable research/measurement into which mode provides the best S/N ratio under different propagation conditions, thus enabling future cubesat projects to achieve an optimum RF link budget whilst minimising associated costs, mass and power requirements.

Very Interesting, As a ex radio amateur that sounds interesting to me. Thank you for the info.

I hope you succeed in your project.

Best wishes.

If as much effort was put into useful projects as has been put into mocking the space project, then Thailand would surely move forward.

Hot air and B-S as rocket fuels will be Thailand's greatest contribution.
