He had had too much to drink and was completely delusional. Going to take a very long time to get there then. At 384,400km comes in just shy of four years.

  • What are they are going to install, electrical connections for  Noodles shops?

The ship will be powered by a xenon ion thruster, the same propulsion method used by Nasa for interplanetary space missions. The spacecraft will travel at 11 kilometres per hour to the moon, before slowing to enter lunar orbit at 2kph.

Well I believe that, kilometers per second rather than per hour would be with other capability of an ion-drive. Wonder if they realize that ion-drives only works in a vacuum, gonna need a launch vehicle or their space program not getting off the ground. The article certainly doesn’t inspire much confidence, let’s hope their Rocket Scientists are better than their press releases staff. ????

I do not understand Thai logic

this past year Thailand has suffered so much from COVID 19 the people need money and investment they need Food and prospect of work

the government should start now to take care of the people of Thailand

not the moon

no wonder the Tai people want a change

Its a ploy performed by children to impress other children that their government is strong, confident, and has wonderful plans for its peoples futures.  And remember, not long the rest of the world will be speaking Thai too.

misleading the people with hillarious illusions at it's best. distraction from the daily tragedy in this country.

They will be hiring space aliens to help build the spore drive, or will that come from magic mushrooms ????.

I wonder if neighbouring countries will be in awe of Thailand then...

Presumably they'd need to stop laughing first...

Hysterical !!!
I would say the government is the laughing stock of the world if it wasn’t sad .

A government that doesn’t know how to govern, that lets its people beg for food and help, that lets its infrastructure crumble to dust ,that accepts 20 000 plus deaths on its roads and does sweet <deleted> all to stop it, now wants to fly to the moon ? Are they mad , delusional or what ?

Hahaha!! They can't even feed the starving people. Talk about getting their priorities right.

Thailand and India as well as a those countries with many poor people should spend the money to Feed their poor first.

DISGRACEFUL THINKING & WASTE OF MONEY.

Errrr, any particular reason for this? I mean, it's not like there are other more pressing concerns is there...

I doubt whether they know where the moon is apart from something strange that glows over Koh Phangan once in a while.

I was wondering what those submarines were for!

Just think of the Full moon parties they could throw on the Moon...Now that might be worth the price of admission.

Too funny. Can't be real. But if it is please remember, all astronauts will need a 90 day check in with Moon immigration.

and the moon is about 300.000 km away, looooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Intrestingly, it was a Thai scientist who saved the first moon landing. He sorted out the landing problem that NASA had. There landing approach kept crashing. It was a Thai scientist that they flew over who was able to solve the problem.

Ha ha......Pure comedy !    Ah well, looking on the bright side they could flog off what's left of Thai Airways and when all the little sticky fingers are finished they'll be able to probably buy enough bangers to fuel a rocket.......  Better get onto Somchai Armstrong quick up in Nackon nowhere.........    Hey i wonder if they've passed it by A nut in yet, not only do we have to get vaccines off them dirty farangs but we'll have to spring for a rocket motor from them.......

Are you having a laugh ?

Is that childish looking space ship the real one, or is it just their ridiculous artists going awry?

I'm going with the latter.

I'm absolutely certain that China left plastic on the moon.

I wonder what Thailand will leave on the moon?  Durian?

I think they should legalize marijuana before this guy gets busted!

Nope. Absoutely true. Was at a lecture he gave in BKK a few years ago. Are you suggesting that Thai scientists are not smart enough for this?
