  • Missing the point, he caught it from someone who is walking around with the virus, it didn't just land on him from nowhere, the virus is still circulating and he is unlikely to be the only one who has

  • What you don't seem to understand is that he caught this inside Thailand and it's nothing to do with his previous travel history.   The above quoted post is just so wrong it should be delete

Will be a military government decree soon stopping farangs testing at will and putting an end to these incidences of the reality of the virus being amongst us all.

Unless you believe in the fantasy that somehow Thailand received a miraculous Covid 19  waiver.

so he was visiting his family for less then 3 weeks and got virus from his kids.

already wasted 15 days in quarantine and now up to 2 weeks in hospital.

and most probably he will have to do 2 weeks quarantine in denmark.

not worth

Not sure about him going to Denmark as he was going home. He is Dutch. Maybe your not as International informed as you think.

I do agree with your other stuff. But you made one mistake there is no 2 weeks quarantine in the Netherlands. They have 10 day home quarantine and it can be shortened if you have test at day five.

I understand missing your family but don't get the travelling in a pandemic, perhaps he'll be fortunate and not be the cause of death of someone else. I imagine that never entered his head for he was concerned about him and his, and to hell with anyone else..

He got it after quarantine here, could have happened to anyone

The man is understood to have arrived in Thailand earlier this month and tested negative after leaving mandatory quarantine on Feb 8.

If he arrived in Thailand in early February, how could he leave quarantine on the 8th ?

Thaivisa understands all the locations visited by the man have undergone intense cleaning.

Yeah, I believe you......

you just have to walk or ride around Hua Hin, and look at the bars.

minimal, if any are wearing masks, that is customers and staff

zero social distancing going on.

people are being very careless now.  both thai and foreigners.

for sure this virus is rife in Hua Hin.

lets say you come down with a bad cold..who the hell is going to go to a hospital for a test knowing full well it could be minimum 2 weeks paid quarantine and probably 100s thousands baht in medical bills?

would need to be at death's door to even consider it

Yes, if I had symptoms of CoVid-19 I'd much rather take a chance on it being nothing and ignore it, knowing that at least if it does turn out to be serious I'll be able to console myself with the thought of all those hundreds of thousands of Baht I can take with me to the afterlife.

Oh, hang on a minute ...
