  • Why not just call in an air strike ? These old pissers are obviously a serious threat to society..not to mention causing Yorkshire pudding shortages across Thailand.

6 people and a child of around 11 or 12 years old have a get together around the pool and its called an illegal party? Surely we're missing something here as this is just bizarre.

  • That is no different to a large family sitting round a dinner table . But like the the Darts and the Bridge , it is much more newsworthy when it is the " white devils " doing it.

Things are getting more and more ridiculous. Amazing Thailand. Did they bring on the SWAT team too? Some guys having a few drinks, some fun in the garden and the concerned citizens are on the move again. I hate stingers. Damn, not OK to report others. What a joke. Let people have a life.

I have started to sleep with my mask on in fear of the mask police. They are out there you know.

Very pleased to read this. The modern Brit sense of self-entitlement, total disregard for public health, “me me me” attitude and disrespect for law made by anyone is what got UK to 3rd worst in world covid management ranking. They should be sent packing.

They were not Brits.

So pack your small minded, smug, sanctimonious bigotry and hatred and off ye go. I'm not going anywhere.

A team of police from the Choeng Thale station headed by Pol Col Peerachat Pombunmee, the Klang district chief Suwit Suriyawong and a local kamnan and phoo yai ban descended on a pool villa on Sunday evening

What sad state of affairs, when the police get called by some numptee, then attend. Take them to the station and charge them. What happened to the government minister up north who had a party and spread Covid. You couldn’t make it up. Col Peerchat Pombunmee you are a total waste of space.

Covid dont go to the markets, not the one near me on a Sunday

It's sad, if that's the definition of a pool party now.
The photo looks more like a family has been disturbed at lunch.
A pool party looks different.

Wear a mask, use hand sanitizers, scan QR code every time, avoid illegal drinks parties.

How hard can it be?

You forgot to mention hazmat suit

It could also be a ploy to take attention away from the vaccine supply or lack thereof.

Most are wearing masks. You get more people in 7/11 at any given time

Vaccines where & are available - they stopped as an outbreak was found at the place giving the vaccines!

This is why Covid spreads.

Idiotic Brits.

Hopefully they will all be fined and told to self isolate for a fortnight.

Stupidity.

The video is going around on social media. They were turned in by the neighbor. A Thai guy who sounds like a real jerk.

Oh dear what is the would coming to they all looked socially distant.

Looks like more police decented on the villa than party goers.

The whole thing is a sham. I went to Lotus this morning and it was 'family outing day' again. Pickups with the rear full of adults and children. No security busts there. Sure, the stores should be open for people to get their shopping but this was ridiculous as every isle in the food end was packed and children running around. Maybe there was a power cut in a village somewhere so everyone decided to go where there was a.c. Some of the men were wearing masks but not over the face but under the chin. Then I read this OP. Disgusting...just another way to make sure that foreigners remain in 'the dirty' category.

OMG have the Phuket police nothing better to do no doubt this will hit the national tabloids in the U.K. for everyone to take note so much for expecting 6 million Brits to come and visit Thailand as TAT estimated would happen just a month or two ago . ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

The key words here being "TAT" and "ESTIMATE"! (Yawn!!!)

It is very different because a  family is allowed to dine together, adding visitors who are not is the offence under the current restrictions.

A non-event shopped by a Thai neighbour. Ridiculous, but right now better not to take any risks of any kind.

Gathering of more than 20 people is prohibited in dark red zone, so what? I can see only 7 guys here...

"An Event" refers to an organised event outside, in public, not parties at home with non-family members invited, which contravenes Covid regulations, apparently.

The Thais will probably side with the authorities and condemn the actions of the 6 foreigners despite the fact that there is no reason to do so, I am losing respect for Thai people, particularly the politicians, police and media who inflame this xenophobic nonsense.
