Is Bangkok the only city to meet educated girls in?

I don't know. But Bangkok is probably one of the cities where lots of guys don't care about education.

Does your wife meet all the criteria you posted?

Obviously yes.

I'd still be single otherwise, wouldn't I?

I'm asking this question strictly referring to Thai women for long term relationships/marriage.

For me personally, a Thai woman must possess a few main attributes before I would even think about getting into something serious with her.

they are the following :

1. Must be well educated, preferably bachelor/master/Phd.

2. Has a solid circle of friends who are similarly educated.

3. Has a stable job on a decent income.

if you go with the first three......my question is 'why would she need you"

Those ten points plus no tattoos, no smoking and a deep throat.

Robmuir, it is easy to tell if she smokes, a little difficult to check the crooks and crannies for tattoos, but how can you check out the deep throat

As the OP has already admitted to being permanently inebriated, the odds are in your favor.

I understand the term is "brewer's droop".

Jump right in, enjoy the ride, protect your assets, don't think too much.

I've lived the last 12 years like this, and I've had the time of my life.

Who could have possibly guessed the best years of my life would be between age 52 and age 62?

why did it end at 62?

In a word ... No. Central and Siam area at lunchtime in the food halls is a veritable smorgasbord of well educated and wonderful Thai women. But, if you've got any hint of 'bar-girl monger' about you they will smell you a mile off and cut you dead.

Illness hits all people at some age, 62 was when it got me, later than most of my pals who were already dead by then. People think they will live forever without any serious illness, but there comes a time in everyone's life when death is clearly approaching. I'm OK with death, I've had a great time, a much better time than I ever thought I'd have.

But I'm still having a better time than I was in the UK before my illness.

At 65, I doubt I'll make 70.

What I look for in Thai women now, the willingness to manage hospital visits for me.

And the potential willingness to change my adult diapers at some time in the future..

You have said what you want. What do you think girls, of any nationality, would think of your list. I suspect most would not be very impressed.

Those are my 10 main points that any Thai woman who wants to have my ring on her finger must satisfy.

May I kindly ask you, how many well-educated Thai ladies so far got your ring on their finger..?

I don't know about WineOh, but I paid for mine to go to high school, then 2 years in University before she dropped out. Her Thai script is really beautiful.

Yes - that's an interesting point.  Does the OP require higher education in advance or is it OK to get the degree as part of the 'on-the-job' training?

there is this funny movie, remind me please of the name if you recognise this phrase by a young man co-starring as a naughty wannabe poet:
A man is always on the hunt
For the salty taste ....
where he gets interrupted by the main female character:
"not that again"
