Daily News reported that they were the owners of a five star hotel in Phuket and plastics factories in Rayong and Prachinburi. The were billionaires. 

 

Their son Ratich, 34, found the bodies. He said he had come with his parents to Koh Tao on holiday.

 

He had gone for a walk on the beach and his mother and father had gone to the hotel pool. When he returned he found them floating.

 

He alerted the hotel staff and the hospital but when they were retrieved they were already dead. 

 

It's the son, the new billionaire.

Luxury hotel,must have working CCTV,if in trouble and scream there should be staff

to hear that and respond?

If an electrical problem it will be easy to determine,something must have shorted

and breakers must have been tripped.

Lets just wait and see what further happens?

Were they the only guests there?

Need to look at the son?Do they have more children?

How long have they stayed there?When was the last time other people have used the pool?

It could be   an accident,lets just wait and see.

The family are rich enough to pay for, and maybe connected enough to insist on a proper autopsy to find the cause of death. Presuming nothing nefarious gets in the way, or someone wishes to hide it.

In my experience if they had the same genius in the Hotel as the electricity that had made the installation of my swimming pool with an independent electric line of the house forgetting to apply a CCTV it is possible and in any case you are right and easy to see the cause after, and surely the people who have removed them from the pool will have seen fit to turn off the power before entering the pool.

However, when there are big capital and happy heirs, everything looks very suspicious.

Did you read this - he found them - it may be wrong but indicates he just made phone calls to hospital and hotel staff.

Who knows, maybe the son will hand the cops a further few large brown envelopes stating that their religion doesn't allow for autopsies and they have to be cremated asap, the cops later saying, huh, but we thought they already got the autopsies done when we released the bodies to the son so he could cremate them.

Very strange a luxury hotel pool has no attendants of any sorts. Waiting staff to serve drinks, towel station or bar or or or.if none then someone has spiked their drinks knowing they will be in the pool afterwards while this "person is away for a walk" ????

The British  police are so bad it's a joke but for some reason  they have a good reputation.  They are corrupt,  inefficient,  lazy, ineffective,  partisan, overweight,  over represented,  politicized and I'm afraid to say cowardly. Last year, whilst  being bombarded with plastic  bottles  and rubbish whilst protesting the home of the PM they sank to their knees in 'solidarity' with American  activists.  They have a crime clear up  rate of less than 0.7%.!!!!!! and have recently  been policing 'thought'  and non criminal hate issues on social media. At least the Thai police are feared by street thugs, know when to look the other way and are selfless and dedicated doing onerous duties like traffic control. in the heat and pollution

Hard to tell the size of the pool from that photo, but its about about 2m deep at that part - so deep enough to drown in.

There aint no beach around that hotel. Thats Jamikhiri. I stay there all the time.  You have to take a hotel boat to haad tien or take a scooter to get to a beach.

Staff wouldnt have been there. Theyre short staffed right now. Bartender doesnt show up until 4pm
