The Rural Doctors Society is demanding that the government, and the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), tell the truth about the availability of COVID-19 vaccines and whether there are enough to meet current vaccination appointments.

In a statement, issued on Saturday, the network of doctors working in Thailand’s rural hospitals, predicts chaos this week, when more vaccination appointments are expected to be postponed and many people will be disappointed.

The statement, posted on their official Facebook page, provided details of the mass vaccination operation, which began on June 7th. 416,847 doses administered on June 7th, 472,128 doses on June 8th, 336,674 doses on June 9th, 223,315 doses on June 10th and 308,012 doses on June 11th. It said the vaccination rate is slowing, not because officials are getting tired, “but because there are insufficient doses.”

An honest statement  from Chiang Mai Ram Hospital:

since the factory producing AstraZeneca is not able to provide a timely delivery until the 14th June 2564
therefore the inoculation in the 2nd week between 14-20 June 2564 will be performed only for persons who are prepared to receive the Sinovac vaccine.

There is a first time for everything.
First they will need to look it up in a dictionary. Then they will realize it is "unhelpful", and that will be the last we hear of it.

If they can run a national ID system efficiently they ought to be able to handle vaccine registration and to organize vaccinations, it's not Thais fault, it's this governments.

I see that Dr Youwanush the director (and owner) of Namarak hospital is quoted in the BP this morning; she too is calling for the Government to be honest with the country about the vaccine situation.

Dr Youwanush is a highly respected Doctor and one of Thailands leading Breast Cancer specialists , her views on this will be listened to. She  is clearly very frustrated with the vaccine situation in Thailand.

Nail on the head sir.....You would need to change the culture, as Thai's over the years have come to accept that lying is part of life.

A legacy of the military monkeys that dictate and keep the masses frightened to say the truth........a very sad, sorry and subdued nation of people.

How do you know when a Thai is lying? his lips are moving

No government  anywhere in the world tell the truth. Thailand is no exception or worst

The truth is there is a world shortage of vaccines. Owing low infection rates last year it was not realised the importance of the vaccines being the only way out of the Pandemic and reluctance to pay huge cost but the Government is now ordering as many vaccines that become available but has to join the waiting list.

Once upon a time !  Oh wait stop right there . I will save them the time , answer is NO HAVE !!! ????

They could at the very least be more honest about where they are with the Astra Zenica rollout being produced within Thailand.

Is it ready?,  is it on the way? and how much of it and when do they expect it will reach the people in reasonable  quantities.

We know Pfizer and Moserna will be on a paid basis at the end of the year.

We hear nothing about Sputnik or J and J.

That leaves us with Sinovac and Sinopharm.

Stop talking about opening the country for tourism and disappointing everybody time and again and focus on vaccinating the population.

How difficult is it to just put people at ease. Instead so far, lie after lie, and all this tripe about registering when they don't have sufficient number of doses.

They dropped the ball big style, now pick it up, start passing, teamwork and aim for the goal.

It can be done with a little more honesty.

There is no correlation between available vaccines and appointments because the government couldn't get their act together.

They want registrations to go ahead to make the world believe there is a master plan... but then when it come to injections they can't back it up with vaccines.

If they told the truth they'd be drummed out of office.

Opppaaaa give em pressure boiz. Make anutin think thi k think make him sleep deprived, make home lose face to he

Is family too oppaaa~

My guess is they delayed ordering vaccines from any source until the brown envelopes had been arranged, only to find out that demand outstrips supply across the world and they could not "negotiate" and they were over the barrel. Now the gate has shut but the horse has bolted.

This naivete is adorable.

The Czar will not admit that his government simply does not have what it takes to run a country during a crisis like this. He has filled his cabinet with cronies whose sole purpose is to keep him in power, they are unable to cope with this dilemma.

It is worth reading the BP article in full; Anutin was clearly irritated by her posts and she was asked to remove reference to him from her Facebook posts.

Rare to see such a senior Thai doctor openly criticizing the Government in this fashion.

“TRUTH “ that words is not in the government’s vocabulary I believe the doctors more than the clowns running the country they treat there people as if they were idiots . What I have noticed it has gone very quiet

from the fella who said he is full control of Covid has he gone into hiding

  • Popular Post

I guess these doctors have over estimated this administration. Tell the truth? Why would they do that?

Obfuscation, deflection, lies, misleading information, false reports, fake numbers, cover ups, protection rackets, failed policy, and a lack of transparency and openness has been their M.O. since day one.

Any naming himself the Covid Czar, and lying to the people once again, by telling them he is in control of Covid, was a huge miscalculation. You are outed! If they did not know before, they now know who and what you are. A fraud.

Promises only engage those who believe them.
