That's the way it works in the rest of the world....why would those poor worried Thai folk waiting in line for a covid test, they obviously feel they want and need, be any different to anybody else in the world waiting for a covid test they want?

I understand that people are frustrated but in logistics point is totaly impossible to achieve even US goverment want to. Or cost too much anyway. If sent Pfizer you need keep it under minus 70 celsius temperature. Not go in diplomatic bag. And to how many country need sent ? If you sent one you need sent every where has US citizen . And not every country has US consulate!

I have Thai relatives (wife's side of the family) who are doctors - and hence I get a bit of a '3rd hand' sense as to how Phuket hospitals are doing (ie not swamped like some other locations in Thailand).  Still, if one is sufficiently curious, one could plot the daily Phuket figures on hospitalization (obtaining the data from the web page/link I provided), and start to get a sense as to whether numbers increasing or decreasing.

This is a fantastic achievement by the government. I think we can all acknowledge spectacular levels of incompetence, corruption, and general lack of intelligence required to achieve such a feat. By my unofficial tally, it looks like 76 of 77 Thai provinces on Friday reported some number of new COVID cases.

 

Phang Nga reported no cases. Lamphun had 1. Mae Hong Song had 2. Phuket had 7 new cases for the day.

Actually that requirement has long since been eased. Now the vaccine is recommended to be stored between -25 degrees centigrade and -15 degrees Centigrade. And it can also be stored in the refrigerator for 1 month at 2 degrees  Centigrade up to 8 degrees Centigrade.

That said, a vaccine should not at in Embassy. There are strict cold-chain protocols for this kind of thing..

Prayuth and Anutin should hold a press conference immediately. We are submitting our resignations, effective tomorrow. This completely got away from us. We now realize how in over our heads we were, this entire time. We are permanently retiring from politics, as we want the nation to move forward, we have more money than we could ever spend, and now realize that with us in control, forward progress is impossible.

But, we have seen the collapse in the export market.

What kind of defective, intellectually incapacitated leadership makes a plan like this, to shut down the construction sites, due to Covid infections, warns the workers in advance, and then makes no provisions to lock down the sites long enough to determine who is infected? And allows thousands of super spreaders to exit Bangkok, and travel throughout the nation, contributing to the situation we see today. 

 

Are they deliberately trying to sabotage any chances of recovery? Or, are they really and truly this inept, and this unable to lead, effectively? If the latter is true, Prayuth and Anutin are the two most dangerous people in Thailand right now.

The Phra Ratchawang police station could maintain its services although many policemen there were infected with COVID-19, said Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner. Policemen from other units will be deployed to fill in if the majority of its workforce is infected.
