Why has the written content in the Pub Forum improved so dramatically and markedly, since the virus first struck?

Well Sir ,I am sure it's because you are posting so regularly ????

regards worgeordie

No, Sir.  My pitiful irregular posts, aside, there is a true sea change here.  Good to see.

And all that from a member of just 2 weeks ? Amazing ????

Just like De La Démocratie en Amérique, you might need a writer like Alexis de Tocqueville to laud this forum, and set you straight by peering from the outside in.

It is very heartening, I believe, to see this forum so very uplifted in recent many months.

If you do not see it, then why?

The forum has changed in subtle ways, and for the better, I think.

The forum has become more mainstream, and it also seems to be more serious, which I feel must appeal to the readers you wish most to attract.

Certainly, you cannot deny that the forum has changed for the better, I think.

Simple, really.

The Pub is where they banished all the super rude interactions that started out in World News.  Since they got rid of World News, there's nothing to banish to the Pub.

And, I would add...  Unlike Clinton, Bush, Obama, and then Trump, nobody's allowed to say Biden is the worst president ever.

Have you ever travelled to Scotland?

Isn't Edinburg marvelous?

Where would we be without guys from Scotland, here?

Probably, the only good humor, and good writing, originates from either Ireland or Scotland.

This is my opinion, for what it might be worth.

Take care.

Really?

Did the farang pub ever have a "moral plane"?

Does anybody here look for a "moral plane"?

And what would you do with that plane if you would find it?

Personally I would just smash it because there is no point in having such a thing in this forum.

You talk tough.

But, down deep, everyone knows you are a kind hearted fellow.

You would not hurt a pussycat.

And, everybody knows that you have a good moral compass.

Just saying......

A nurse, kind of, just for you. ????

She reminds me of the good times I had at the local hospital, getting jabbed for rabies.

As I mentioned in some previous post, I got jabbed 5 times, by the same nurse.

Respectfully.

I really do not know why you guys are trying to turn this good conversation into the gutter.

Seems to me, everything began well.

Of course, it is a known known that some people might find nurses titillating.

Just think a bit, please.

If this nurse might be your mother, then how might you feel?

Everybody knows that Freud loved his mother, who was also his nurse.

I just mean that Freud spent too long suckling.

And this is why Freud got things mixed up.

And this is why we love nurses.

Same as Freud.

Might've been the best policy decision that this forum has enacted.

Removing the ever-disconnected World News section and the vigilant housekeeping that came with it.

Over the last few months there is a notable and remarkable difference.

More than this, it seems apparent that the content has shifted upward to a higher moral ground.

IMO it's got boring. I miss the banter about things that we can't really discuss in these woke times.

The threads that are even vaguely interesting quickly attract a large response. I guess we posters are just looking for anything worth replying to.

I put any improvement down to the bars being closed, so less posting from cranky drunk people with nothing better to do.

What do you think the chances are that any cranky drunk actually post here from their favourite watering hole locale?

Flattery and idiocy are scarcely distinguishable.  Nor genius.  I have trouble distinguishing the lights on my way to bed after all these Tigers.

I can't be the only one who thinks this forum is mortally wounded. I find it all to strange that most all the old time posters have vanished to be replaced with newbees so quickly. Since world news vanished it's been a downward spiral.
