We are not seeing photos of people waiting to be hospitalized, or dying in the street, or in improvised hospital wards, or waiting to be tested.   Looks like the crisis is over. Time to open

The request to tap vaccines from Bhutan, a country of less than 1 million people, reflects efforts to plug gaps in Thailand's chaotic vaccine rollout, after AstraZeneca said it could supply the country with about five to six million monthly doses, about half of what the government had targeted.

The government made false claims about the roll-out from day One.

Now they're looking for donations and handouts from the world... which last year they made clear they didn't need.

So vaccinate on one side and isolate on the other. Sounds like a winner of a deal.  In the middle you have Anutins Covid trains to the provinces.

What is the Positivity Rate (Percent Positive)?

It's off the chart high, why do you think it's rarely mentioned....

Are there any charts showing the nationality details ,ex new cases, hospitalisation, ICU, recoveries, deaths, and then foreigners, locals, migrants .?  I see prisoners but  nothing else.
The Bali Beat has a very good chart updated daily where you can see precisely where the infections etc are, and who they are.,

Desperate doesn't even begin to describe it. Are there no bigger lots to go after elsewhere? European countries that have phased out AstraZeneca maybe?

The government is still defending its decision to buy Sinovac. Despite international studies that show that the vaccine is less effective against the Delta variant, the government insists that it is making the right choice for the Thai people.

Government spokesman Anucha said that mixing the AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccine is effective against Delta. He says this is necessary because of a lack of vaccines until the mRNA vaccines get here in September.

The Rural Doctors Society has declared that it will thoroughly inspect the quality of Chinese rapid antigen test kits (ATKs) controversially purchased by the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO).

If the Covid-19 test kits were found to be substandard, someone must be held responsible, it said.

Just hit an interesting snag. I registered for the vaccine on [email protected] a while back. I'm a permanent resident so I selected the permanent resident option and included copy of passport, my alien book and the red police book. All nicely scanned, crisp and clear. I don't plan to leave Thailand so I don't have a re-entry visa.

Got an email today stating that my vaccine request cannot be processed due to lack of required visas... I can only think of 2 possible options:

1) You must have a re-entry permit even though one is not required if you don't want to leave the country

2) Perhaps it's the same as the land transport department at Chatuchak. They refused to let me re-register my car because I didn't have a visa expiry date. I explained that it's difficult for immigration to know when I will die - as a permanent resident is allowed to stay in the country for life, making a few Thai's queueing around me laugh. That didn't impress them but it made me happy.

They are not making it easy for foreigners to get vaccinated

Reminds me of riding on the Crazy train and as the song goes "All Aboard, I, I, I, i,  Crazy ...but that's how it goes, millions of people" .....Just like Ozzy sang.  These folks must be on the crazy juice......order, order, and order more of a vaccine that costs more and obviously assists a member of the 1% club as well as filling more pockets.

If it is so good why is it that you need an mRNA booster after two shots?

Yep. Youngest four months old. People with no underlying medical conditions dying. That should do it.

Most sensible people know it already. The stats all over the world speak for themselves. Of course there will be exceptions, as there are for most things which will be the headliner grabbers.

The exception to date is called the Delta variant. Check the stats on that not the stats from the beginning. Most sensible people and all medical and scientific professionals know this is a very different variant to those which preceeded it.
