The old problem remains - the factories are still manufacturing Covid

The numbers of very sick will fall as vaccination is rolled out

I hope he is right but I cannot see how.

You would have thought factories would have insisted workers have their temperature taken at the entrance to the factory before entering them in.

From my personal experience, patients in hospitals are not released until they have complete satisfactory testing by lung imaging, oxygen level and negative Covid-19 testing. Upon release, you are required to isolate for 10 days as a precaution. Most don;t follow that guideline.

from the 4th August there is a new directive - no testing at all at around 14th day of hospitalisation, if there are no serious symptoms. They have realised, that testing is not reliable for several months after infection, with antibodies still very high.

Also patients can come back to their normal life strait from hospital, no need for self-isolation.

Thanks. My experience was in June and the hospitalization period was 10 days. Tested satisfactory for lung, oxygen and covid-19 and released. Told to isolate for 10 days.

If his previous "seeing signs" are anything to go by, Thailand is still in for a torrid 6 months or more.

Surely, he would be better keeping his mouth shut, and using all his energy to obtain vaccines for the people.

Wasn't he the same dude who once said, he had Covid 110% until control ?

Is there any graphs showing 7-day average of covid deaths?

Would also like to see more clearly the number of people vax'd each day. Apparently around 400,000 per day equates to 12MM per month. Breakdown of 1st and 2nd shots would also be useful to gauge progress.

Thailand reported a new record daily death toll high of 312 today, a big leap from yesterday’s high of 239.

rime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said yesterday (Wednesday) that he is seeing signs that the COVID-19 spread in Thailand is slowing and the pandemic may reach its peak soon,

So that is defined as slowing, what a wonderful insight into our esteemed leaders mind.

he is NOT, he is somebody who formerly wore Khaki gear; now dressed in a suit, rose-tinted glasses, loads of amulets does not make him a politician

And just to be clear, he is not smart.  At all.

If there was no songkran allowed and good efficacy vaccines were purchased and inoculations started at the start of the year then we would have a thriving country. But another 12.5 million sinovac just bought when Astra Xenica is more efficacious and much cheaper.

The difference is that they can get Sinopharm now.  They have to wait for AstraZeneca.  A less effective vaccine sooner may be better than a more effective one later.

China wants Thailand in its debt.  The West mainly says "where?".

He now realizes vaccines offer no immunity and COVID simply simply now something we will have to deal with just like the cold, flu and all the other viruses and or diseases commonly contracted by humans.

Covid Vaccinations never offered immunity , They offer protection from Severe Illnesses, Hospitalization and Death !

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/thailand/  Right click on any white area to get a drop down list. Select View Page Source. Tick the Line Wrap box at the top left. Scroll down to line 767 for 7 day moving average of cases. Yesterday 21,784, today 21,710. So a possible peak. 7 day moving average for deaths is on line 1171. Yesterday 198, today 213. Deaths trail cases by about 15 days. So if this is the peak of cases expect deaths to peak around September 3rd. Note that you can look at Covid data for any country in the world on the link.

He will continue to buy more Sinovac from China which does not  cover the Delta Variant.
