I like Russell Crowe as an actor.  He was great in Gladiator, LA Confidential, Insider, Beautiful Mind....and countless other movies.

But man, the dude has not aged gracefully.

I was going to ask if he was still a bit on the heavy side or had slimmed down.

and why the "duh"...

I think you typed it too quickly. Try typing it slowly to make it easier to read and understand.

Oh my freaking god!  I feel sorry for the Thai people.  Keep him away from alcohol.

All forum members, pray that he doesn't sing.  There is no greater hell than Russell Crowe singing.  Nothing!

Well, comes from the reliable professionalism of an actor not being a stranger to the bottle - keep up the good work and the chief clown seems to like it!

Barely a B-list actor these days. But, who knows, if you're the sort who liked Dumb and Dumber, you might like this as well. Same people involved.

Should be interesting when co-star Bill Murray arrives?

From the book, Pabst Blue Ribbon delivered from New York to Vietnam. Am guessing the Vietnam scenes will be shot here.

I think it's all the warts.

Like all of us. We age.

Some of us gracefully and some of us not so.

We have this manufactured and romantic notion that "celebrity types" are to remain as we remember them.

This certainly isn't the reality part of it.

We just bought a box of beer and wine in Big C.

There is an alcohol ban regarding bars, clubs and restaurants. Or didn't you know that? There is also a curfew.

The star of Gladiator was of course the legendary Ollie Reed.

Died in a bar in Malta where they were filming while drinking and arm wrestling Royal Navy ratings.

The film was shot in Libya?

Not really.

These restrictions are largely centered around BKK Metro, Pattaya, etc.

Most of upcountry Thailand has been somewhat open for a few months - locale depending.

For some the world revolves around Bangkok and environs.

For others, it doesn't.

Did you read what I quoted, or are you unable to read?

Hollywood actor Russell Crowe has been in Thailand to shoot a Vietnam War era movie called “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” and is now posting pictures on the streets of Bangkok after entering the Kingdom through the “Phuket Sandbox” scheme.

The New Zealander told of his experience during the 14-day quarantine, explaining to his followers that, if they are fully vaccinated, they can fly to Phuket to roam the islands freely and added that Thais are friendly and the food is amazing.

blah blah blah
yada yada yada

I just wonder if he was paid?

Now filming in "Dry" Thailand!

Perfectly acceptable for special folks and special privileges.

I expect his opinion would have been more like his grumpier self had they interviewed him after The Beer Run.
