Daily News reported that the high-rise painter who sought help from a British man and his wife on the 26th floor of a condo building in Pak Kret after his rope was cut intends to press charges all the way.

He said he wants to ask the person responsible why on earth they would do that. He is still scared by the incident.

A woman who is suspected of having done it is now the subject of a DNA check after she vehemently denied wrongdoing.

The police said she is a 34 year old who they called A.

If DNA tests confirm her involvement she will be charged with attempted murder and causing criminal damage.

Song, 21, a hilltribesman and his partner Suthin, 46 went with their employer to the Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, police to give evidence yesterday. After an hour interview they spoke to Daily News.

Song thought the cut had been made while he was positioned at the 30th floor. The block has 32 floors.

He sought assistance on the 26th floor from the people living there.

He said he would go back to work if the cuilprit was found but he was angry and in fear.

Nothing like this had ever happened to him in 3-4 years of such work.

Police think the person responsible was living on the 21st floor after a hand was seen extending from a room on that floor.

Investigations continue.

There are certainly a lot of ignorant and even especially stupid people in the world.

Who in their right mind would cut a rope like that?

   Psycho?

Geezer

The postulations as to the rope being cut below or above him and this having direct bearing as to the danger to him from a free fall are dependent upon the type of rigging he was using as to whether it was, once cut, an unsecured abseil.

I presume they can tell on which floor the rope was cut by the length of the remaining rope beneath him.

Please don't ask the RTP to carry out any logical reasoning when investigating a case that doesn't include a back-hander.
