A Malaysian transgender entrepreneur who received asylum status in Australia after fleeing religious authorities in her native country posted a special thank you to Thailand for hosting her while her asylum request was processed.

“Kap kun kap Thailand ka,” Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman, better known as Nur Sajat, wrote on her Twitter page on Tuesday.

Attached to her post was a message by a Thai news reporter who said that she has reached Australia.

Thailand has it fair share of the "people of the third kind" as Thais terms it, good luck to that person now she can find peace and be safe...

Fear of being grabbed and taken back to Malaysia I do believe. Never heard of Thailand granting anyone asylum on grounds of gender, which Thailand still has not given the LGBTQ community equality.  It is accepted but not granted the rights of the chosen gender.  Just look at the military conscription and then the fact that they will not change the identity cards of those who have taken the new gender as their lifestyle.

True, but let's keep all religions going. Each one is the perfect excuse for a war.

And don't forget  God is on YOUR side.

isn't he on your side, isn't he your co-pilot and doesn't he give you the divine right of free choice?, asking for my pet turtle who wants to be a real boy like Pinocchio.

says who, I can see we will soon be having a theological debate over whether or not there is a God.

I guess that there might be a few Aussies who are having trouble returning to their own country not so happy with the Motherland granting urgent asylum to this person.

Albert Camus.

And to add to your edit to your post...we won't.

If that is the case then they are very selfish individuals.  Are they being persecuted or prsecuted for their life they are living and in fear of being put to death?  Not at all, so then if what you say is true then it is selfishness at it's best.

I have no opinion on this individual, but it's interesting that as a popular celebrity she gets granted asylum for her life choices of gender and being outspoken.

How about all the other men, women and children who live both in fear and poverty around the world controlled by religious regimes? But I guess inviting them in is not possible.

FGM for teenage girls, torture and execution for disagreeing with the wrong people etc etc

Quite ironic when you consider that  Muhammad used to dress up in his wives' clothing. He even received revelations while dressed in his child bride Aisha's garments, making him the world's first and only cross-dressing prophet. !

The Thai government is not a signatory to the UN Refugee Convention, therefor they neither accept, nor recognize refugees.

A troll grammar police comment and subsequent replies and retorts have been removed.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Incorrect and also impolite

Her chosen gender is female, , we do not know whether there have been surgical procedures for female genitalia, which is irrespective to recognising her agency and accepting her gender of choice and her personal pronouns.

There is also a good possibility given the laws in Australia that her gender is now listed as female on all her official documentation

I am sorry but the person was born male and despite their efforts they still do not have a womb.

Biologically this person is still a female.

Why is it rude to call a person by the same gender-specific pronoun that has been taught, accepted and used for centuries?

Why should I be forced to pretend that this person is a female when science and biology proves that he is not.

While I agree that what a person does with their own body is their own business, I refuse to be dragged into or bullied into believing in their delusions.

The more that you force me, the more I will kick back.

BTW, this is my religious belief, so feel free to persecute me for my religious beliefs.

Life has changed as we know it and acceptance is what is needed and expected.  You can hide in the back with those who refuse to accept this for what it is.  I guess if one of your kids decided that she or he was of the opposite sex and went through the transformation you would kick them to the curb and not accept their life choice.  Sorry, but my first ex-wife is still stuck in the dark ages as well and will not accept out daughter who is LGBTQ.  I guess your kicking back would be to deny they are your child, much like my ex....

Not all women can give birth Sir.  Medical conditions etc.  Guess your still stuck in the dark ages.  Are you still burning witches at the stake?

Believe what you want but to not accept your own child is foolish and then shows how opinionated and unwilling to accept someone for who they are or have become.

Why does it bother you so much that I refuse to use the term 'she' when referring to someone who was born male?

You demand tolerance and then persecute me for using free speech.

How odd.

Never persecuted you now did I, I just said you were stuck in the dark ages.  If that's where you want to be with your views then your more than welcome to believe the way you do.  The issue becomes when it affects your daily life and you make comments such as "call me when she gives birth", does not truly show you even understand either male of female gender when it comes to other issues.  I agree to disagree with you and move on.  This lady that was relocated on Asylum to Australia is one of a few who will have escaped being persecuted as you so put it.
