Pattaya City officials are inviting tourists to visit the city and Koh Larn with free parking spaces at the blue field in front of the Pattaya sign at the Bali Hai Pier.

The new Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Wuttisak Reumkitkarn told The Pattaya News this week, “We have received complaints about parking spaces being charged by Bali Hai Pier by some people.

Some of these folks charging “customers” were reportedly homeless and none of them work for or with Pattaya City. Some people reported being charged as much as 500 baht for a parking space. This is a scam and is not a Pattaya City policy.”

On condition they take home a wild dog with them.

Maybe this would be a good time to educate the boat captains to use Bali Hai Pier instead of beach road before the hordes of Chinese return

Yes the millions of baht the Pattaya city mayor received for Bali Hai and Beach road improvement has not been put to use for a year or so....  Hopefully once Bali Hai improvements are started and completed all ferry and motorboats will be docked there and not out by the beach with the gasoline everywhere and the boat owners smoking cigarettes while fueling their boats where the beach meets the sea

Probably better to educate the boat Captain's children first due the length of time the isolated Chinese might be holed up

& be gone in time for the thronging food lines who ordinarily occupy it

Well there was the previous "super marina"  project that was never used because the mechanisms to lift the speed boats out of the water and prevent damage during bad weather did not work... so the speedboat captain's boycotted it and continued to  bring the boats in everyday and park them in the area now commandeered by the military for the large blue swath of concrete and recent Covidicy food handouts.
