And if, by some chance,  you should  just "happen" to find the   odd banknote,, stuffed in a brown envelope ,, in  your pocket, you are instructed to hand it into your superior immediately.

eanwhile in related news Taweesin Visanuyothin of the CCSA said yesterday that labour minister Suchart Chomklin had indicated that 424,703 workers from the three neighboring countries mentioned above would be coming into the country.

They'll probably have a lower bar to jump over than the average farang tourist.

They are unable to say which border crossings will reopen, or when, but are able to say that 424,703 workers will enter!

You know there is something about Thai government statistics, I cannot quite put a finger on it but...

How do these immigrants meet all the silly entrance criteria? $50,000 insurance?

I suspect they do not.....

INN reported that a softly-softly approach by the Thai police involved in advising Thai employers and their migrant workers from Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia of their rights and responsibilities would come to an end on November 30th.

In this regard the chief said that he would come down hard on anyone taking bribes and backhanders in his force.

If you allow corruption to happen then you too are corrupt. The chief wants the corruption to stop which means corruption has been allowed which means the chief is corrupt. Hope you follow my logic here.

Like expat work permit holders, they are covered by Thai social security and are not required to buy insurance. That meets the entry criteria.

You seem to be an expert on this. Have all 400,000 been double vaccinated and have paperwork as proof?

In Thailand, all numbers and statistics come out of a device, which, for reasons of simplicity, one could just call a "hat"...

No, it says a lot more than that.

Just the fact that he must order "no corruption" speaks volumes.

The rtp tagline is now and forever "paper or plastic", with "paper" being cash money, and plastic being well, a bag.

A matter of opinion, isn´t it? Or is your opinion the only one?

You are indeed entitled to your opinion, even when you are wrong.
