  • For those of us who are vaccinated, we want people to have the freedom of choice.

  • Back to my first post, WW2 was about freedom, now you are incarcerating people.    Bottom line, if you are vaxxed then you have little to worry about, people should stop being scared of thei

"Covid vaccines show your body's natural defenses how to recognize and kill the virus, then they disappear.

Covid vaccines help the human immune system to be prepared for an eventual infection by producing antibodies before an infection occurs , that the immune system can attack the actual virus faster as if the body has to produce antibodies after being infected . That is why vaccination protects against serious life threatening disease , not so against the infection by the virus itself .

Healthy people with a functional immune system do not need to be hospitalized very often .

A speculative hypothetical based on no data at all, let alone any published theory by any scientific expert. Aka FUD.

You said it : no data at all , so all speculation ...

Just a question that will be answered in the future , when data is available ...

But the question itself is justified .

Who will die , will die ... sooner or later everybody will , anyway ...

That is the classic argument by the defense attorney for a mass murderer  “Your honor, my client indeed has killed many people, but they were all going to die anyway”.

55 , but it's a fact that everybody will die .

Even the ones who would like to live forever , won't .

That implicates some philosophy ... If you think that all of us were born with a certain credit of time , somebody who ends somebody elses life prematurately is , after all , a thief of time ... but , off topic , sorry ...

There is no choice in that matter ... Vaccinated or not , both are infectious .

True, but the ones that has not received the vaccine, has a higher chance of spreading it.

If we want to reduce the risk of spreading the virus, the vaccines are the best bet if we

It's important to say vaccines will not remove the chance of passing the virus to someone else, but it will reduce it a lot.

A recent study has found that vaccinated people infected with delta variant are 63% less likely to infect people who are unvaccinated.

There is a choice. Vaccinated are way less infectious.

That raises another question ... :

What will be the consequences on the human immune system by regularly becoming exposed to booster shots ?

What is the effect of regularly being infected with the inactivated variant of Covid that is contained in the vaccines ? Nobody can tell ... yet .

No idea but we used flu vaccines for a long time without any major issues, as if my reading skills are good enough, the mRNA vaccines does not contain inactivated virus.

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/covid-19-how-do-inactivated-vaccines-work

mRNA from vaccines does not enter the nucleus and does not alter DNA. mRNA vaccines work by introducing a piece of mRNA that corresponds to a viral protein, usually a small piece of a protein found on the virus's outer membrane.

U right , mRNA vaccines contain a small piece of a protein of the virus .

That is not equal to an inactivated version of the virus , but similar ...

From your link ... ( thanks for that , is interesting ) :

Vaccines that make use of the entire pathogenic virus are called whole virus vaccines. Using a pathogen or a part of a pathogen in a vaccine is a traditional approach, and most vaccines available today work this way.

In contrast, the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna use genetic material that is chemically synthesized in a laboratory to teach our immune system how to fight off future infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

There are two different types of whole virus vaccines: live attenuated and inactivated.

Live attenuated vaccines use a weakened form of a pathogen. These elicit strong immune responses but are not suitable for people with a weakened immune system.

( pathogen = virus )

I'm trying to stay positive and go with the ones that think the omicron is more transmissible, but less deadly.

That way it could take over from the Delta and result in fewer deaths, but we really has no clue what is going to happen.

No government worldwide has the solution to the problem, so off course we're seing governments worldwide trying different strategies.

Germany now tries another route, and time will tell if it's a good decision or not.

Even if less deadly than Delta, with so many unvaccinated, it's going to be bad. Especially considering many hospitals and overflowing already with Delta patients.

What have the vaccinated to fear from a minority of unvaccinated people?

They keep telling us being vaccinated means they are much safer from hospitalisation and serious symptoms....and have virtually zero chance of death.

So why force people to vaccinate if it's not just political?

The argument about the unvaccinated putting a burden on health care is weak.  The health care systems were already struggling in the UK and Germany, and there were not enough hospital beds long BEFORE covid.

Now the governments can blame covid for it's mistakes, and make unvaccinated people the scapegoats.

The REAL burden on health care are the fat, unhealthy people who have brought about illnesses on themselves through poor lifestyle choices such as over eating processes junk food, smoking, drinking alcohol, and drug use.

Yet these people are telling healthy unvaccinated people that they are selfish and should be refused medical treatment!!!!!

I'm relatively old and, vaccinated or not, I have a lot to be concerned about if I get infected. The fewer people are unvaccinated the lower the chance that I will be infected.

If you stay at home, locked in your room alone, you will have a ZERO chance of being infected.

I shouldn't have to do that when the simple solution is to make the unvaccinated stay at home. I'm the one doing the right thing by society. That's what this thread is all about.

It's called democracy. The majority are vaccinated. So we call for the unvaxxed to stay home. Just like Germany is doing.

So you expect everyone else to protect you, and accept no responsibility for your own health and well-being? Doing the right thing by society IMHO is surely not going out.

I'm double vaccinated AND staying at home.

Why take the risk?

I expect the few to act responsibly just as the many are doing. Anyway, it's a moot point. The unvaccinated are having their freedom restricted.

who is everyone else? You are double vaccinated.

Yeah this was coming. In Austria there are plans that people who aren't vaccinated can't shop ????

I'm double vaccinated and going out. A lot including traveling. But adhere to all the recommend safety standards.

You are clearly not taking into consideration that the vaccinated are up to ten times less likely to become infected.

This is all the anti vaxxers are left with. They just keep clinging to that lie. It has been explained to them over and over again ad nauseum but they keep repeating the lie in true Goebbels fashion - if repeated enough times a lie becomes the truth.

And by the way do not call them anti vaccination people etc.

Don't be disgusting.

The proper term is vaccine hesitancy.

They're for the moment a bit hesitant whether they want to live or die.
