From the photo, I wondered why she was driving her pickup through a field of sugar cane/bamboo?

Short-cut?

In the night hard to see the beast in time.

And they can break through the bushes in an instant.

Sleepless buffaloes.

It looks like a field, but in fact it is a curve - according to the driver.

Yes, buffalos are known for their speed.

I have seen them running. Very fast and scary if at you.

Get too close to a mother protecting her calf and you'll discover just how fast a buffalo can run!

The further confirmation that driving on the roads of Thailand is very dangerous where even the buffalo do not respect the rules of the road

Hope the Buffalo recovers soon

It will be "well" cooked and eaten over the next few weeks. One of our neighbors buffalos fell over in a rice field and broke a leg. It was slaughtered and processed right where it fell.

She parked the car there to provide first aid to the poor buffalo

I am very sorry for the buffalo. It will most likely be killed and eaten unless it's leg can be repaired. Given the appalling way animals are treated generally, not only in Thailand, I don't fancy it's chances. The driver will not be punished in any way, of course.

From the link, your question would be answered...she wasn't driving in a field.

Some farang in a faraway place will be getting a true copy of a vet's bill.

Not very nice to assume the injured woman is a sex worker.
