Not entirely true. FYI the Thais have tasted "pursuit of happiness" under Thaksin's administration.

More than 2700 innocent people and there families would not agree with you, because they were killed in the so called war on drugs under Thaksin.

Hello ,

Maybe Aunutin should go back to basic math school  ???? Very easy to make a boobish statement like this when your total population is over 71 Million and you’ve only tested just over 246,000 citizens !!

CONSIDER THE SOURCE PEOPLE !! ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS !!

D2CD7807-785E-4E13-A635-43F4DB3FBCDC.png

It's 246,459 per million which makes is approx 16,5 million tests in total.

That's still a very low number for such a huge population if you compare them to the country that test most in the world.

Denmark test roughly 80 x more than Thailand.

Some truths can be found in between the lines if you look at Active cases/critical, serious cases.

Denmark has 521.237 cases but only 33 serious cases!

Thailand has 83.936 cases but a staggering 588 serious cases which tells me their active cases are way way higher than the daily numbers report.

I think we're looking at several hundred thousands positive cases per day in Thailand and not  8000 as they publish.

But not all bad for Thailand.

When we look at deaths pr million Thailand ranks 91th in the world

Denmark is 116th so Thailand did better on deaths, which is a good thing.

350+ k population plays 75million... USA gave you The Pfizer vaccine <deleted>.... Thailand uses The $ to overvalue it's Baht.

Many Thais enjoy a great life in USA  .. With freedoms they could never dream of back homes, as do many others that made USA it's home.

Show some gratitude.

The only thing you have in common..Is dodgy Elections to install Government.

Please don’t compare yourself to ANY western nation. Just don’t! He wears a mask here to hide an obvious grin that knows he’s testing a fartful of people in an oppressed state compared to millions upon millions per day in a FREE one. No one will ever know Thailand’s figures because there is no appetite or incentive and results are sino-style suppressed based on face. Just say thanks to the west for developing your vaccines and then shut up. Bwaaah, no more, a waste of space urchin. I’m done!

I know I am stepping on many toes that I should not but I wonder if we have as much freedom in the US as you seem to think we do.  Perhaps some people do …

No fan of Anutin, but what he did is correct and appropriate, and indeed expected of him. Politicians from any country should do their utmost to further the interests of their own country. The insanity of western politicians trashing their country and name calling their traditional populations to win favor is sickening beyond imagination. Carry on Khun Anutin...

Since the Covid-19 outbreak Thailand  has consistently performed  better than the USA, which in itself  is not difficult. Thailand  were ranked in the top  ten in the world at one time but were let down by their vaccination  program. The USA, for a 'modern' 'civilised' country is doing very  poorly, poor vaccine  take up rates, lack of leadership and a divided  people.

Let’s be honest, the USA haven’t exactly set the bar very high when it comes to responding to the COVID pandemic, so it’s not very hard to do a better job. The problem is that from the start everything has been hugely politicized in the USA, like having to wear a mask was compared to being a Jew in nazi Germany. Way too many crazies and nutbags over there ran with it, and are stil running with it.

Yup Red states are the prime example of that …un vaxed /un masked / most hospitalized with deaths. Thank the former President for that

Amazing how so many want to live here in Thailand despite all the freedoms in the USA and lack of it here . Must be the cheap beers and still be noticed by women half our age as the big draw.

No, it sounds like i'm a person who's quoting the figures. Facts. Lol.

Western economies supported their businesses and citizens with economic support so that they would bounce back when the economy reopened.

Guess what? They did.

Thailand has the most unequal wealth distribution of SE Asia. No support for the population but you, like most Thai huggers, bang on about a country you most likely burned your bridges with years ago.

Living in Nakhon Nowhere blaming everyone but themselves.

I would think Thailand's Hi-so's did very well out of the pandemic.

Try and accept the reality and facts.

Got any links about Thailand's GDP growth?

https://www.ft.com/content/d26ccd56-ebb9-43a8-b6b1-ff8361ca9876

US unemployment at 3.9%

What do you think Thailand's real unemployment rate is with tourism going from 40 million to 400,000?

What are the Thai authorities doing to help their citizens?

A 5000 baht hand out.

Laughable.

Yeah, it's called Freedom of speech and pursuit of happiness both of which general Thai civilians have never enjoyed. Btw, all vaccines and therapies are developed in the west for this pandemic as well so not sure if you want to be so proud of Fah Talai jone.

Thank you. Thai visa post of the day for me.
