Australia has the same. Checkout the TGA which requires a Permit from them to Import the Masks

 into Australia. That goes for anything to do with Covid too, including the Hand Sanitisers, Gloves etc.

It's all about threats of fines and imprisonment in Thailand. A great place for a vacation

Masks  are much cheaper to buy here in Thailand but anyway the ruling is about taking Masks 'out of' Thailand not about bringing  them in.
