Lending Money to Thai Ladies

I am sure that someone will post that they lend money to Thai ladies and are promptly paid back every time. They also will post about winning the lottery every week.

 

the short story is do not lend money to Thai ladies if you expect to be paid back. 
 

There are credit mechanisms available if a Thai lady is starving, the problem is they will collect from her, one way or another. But you can’t collect. So, she wants to borrow from you.

 

Ignore those urgent messages from starving Thai ladies. You can be sure she won’t starve.  Not a good idea to reply, just ignore them.

I did lend to a friend when she couldnt work during multiple lockdowns.

I have payed her bank loan, when she mentioned about it.

she was able to pay job agent 40k and got 2 year contract in europe.

The next time I am there I will see her, she already saved there many k euros

I have some ladies before asking for lending money.I never ever do that.Even not lend to family.They never ever pay back.My exwife auntee lended 500 bath for a week she said.It took 8 months before i get i back.Even her daugther get sinsod 100.000 bath she didnt pay me.My lady never ever ask for lend money because she migth know i give for free anyway.ha-ha

bub but but....my girl is different.....how many times have i heard that?  was it ever true?  maybe once in a blue moon but suckers...eh....guys do it everyday...do yourself a favor and if you are asked for a loan and want to do it make sure you establish upfront that is a GIFT cause most likely that is exactly what it will be....

I had a Farang do the escalator trick on me. She borrowed $50 from me, and paid back promptly. Then she borrowed $100, and paid back promptly.

 

Then she borrowed $400, claiming she could pay back for sure. But, when it came time to pay back, she had a story. I told her it was impossible that she had zero money, so she could pay back $10 a month. People who borrow money from everyone hate to pay back, so I am sure the $10 payments were killing her. Eventually, she stopped paying, and blocked me on Facebook. Mai pen rai, she was a diehard Trump fan anyway.

 

i don’t think that Thai bar girls are sufficiently sophisticated to do the escalator trick, but I have seen Chinese do it.

My mother in law keeps lending money to her Mexican caretaker. Up to $4K now after 3 months on the job. It's a big secret; the other kids cannot know.

 

The last old lady she worked for bought her a car -I am sure after many hints and some manipulation. At some point, I suppose we'll have to step in, but hopefully we can offload that thankless confrontation to another family member.

 

Meanwhile, we're living in Mexico and our maid keeps asking for a loan too.

 

It's just the way of poor people. If Japanese people went around tipping $100 bills at random in Alabama, most poor Americans would start getting a little opportunistic around them too. I really don't see it as a character issue at all.

Have you seen what the physical state most of the foreigners in Thailand look like?  I couldn't find a more wretched, out of shape, grumpy, satang pinching group if I tried.  After many years of neglect, a Thai female stokes their ego and many lose their already warped mind.

Note to self: If I don't want to fight about lending money to people, move to Switzer-land, not Poverty-land.

 

They know what a plane ticket to Thailand costs. They know you have discretionary income, even if they don't know the term. Why not discretion it a little bit their way?

 

Expecting poor people to worry about your rich person feelings is unrealistic. Do I worry if Jeff Bezo is happy enough?

After nearly 2 years of pandemic a lot of people don't have jobs. Buying a lady a meal is the least you could do.

They know,but they dont care.My lady never ever ask about my money/pension.She have her own business in korat.Do i give her money sometimes..yes i do.She said dont need that..anyway she love it.

Today we talk abou valentine day..she said only young people care,but i see the way she looked at me she expecing a gift.ha-ha

This pretty much applies to all people who need to borrow money - - most/some of them borrow w/good intentions then really really hate to pay the money back... they will still have needs...

not ask for a loan - - they are people I have known for over 10 years and never asked for money before... they were out of work and asked for food money... they did not ask for a loan.

If you're in a situation where the income equality is thru the roof, you have to find your own comfort level with how you handle that.

 

Like the nice guy above who decided he should throw his GF a little Valentine's Day cash or gift, everyone will be a little squishy about how hard assed to be. It's always a number greater than zero, and zero is where I'd ideally prefer to be.

 

I'm a poor prospect in Poverty-land for lending money or being a provider because I have a bad divorce backstory akin to Britmantoo's. The idea of giving a woman money gives me a soft-on.

 

But if I'm in a relationship with someone who has to save up to buy new flip flops, I'm going to have to be flexible about that -which is why I am not likely to ever pursue something like that. 

 

That limits my romantic choices at age 69 wherever I may choose to live in the world, but I prefer those limits to that dynamic. Guys here who are happy to support someone else where both sides are happy are sort of like Martians to me. What color is the sky on your planet?

It's a fairly unusual mindset to be comfortable about some variation of pay for play in a romantic relationship, whether it be long term or just for an hour.

 

Prob less than 2% of people in the world relate this way. They seem happier than the average, like most people are who are (finally) getting the sex that they really want.

 

I give such unions the same open-minded respect that I would to people in poly-relationships or kinky relationships. I don't understand the judgement that many people have against any of these consent-based relationships.
