Good to see a lady getting a sign on Russian TV, I hope this will be a start of Russian people getting Putin out of power.

Sadly the bombardment of Kyiv centre has started.

They are using dumb bombs and artillery now placed well away from any harm this is in line with the doctrine that worked for them when they destroyed Berlin in 1945 from the safety of the Seelow heights, there they used over 9000 guns and rockets to flatten the city, and now here in Ukraine having tried to walk in to the cities and failed they are standing back and launching artillery barrages to destroy everything, the downside for them is that tanks don't do well in an urban environment destroyed or still standing, this will be why Ukraine wants aircraft to kill the artillery.

Once destroyed they will have to go in and fight street by street building to building in the rubble that remains, very heavy Russian casualties will ensue, typically you need a three to one advantage to take a fortified position or building.

Putin is just crazy enough to destroy everything and leave it a wasteland, why would he bother to risk his army when there is nothing left, when its become a buffer wasteland between Russia and NATO which he wanted all along.

Meanwhile the rush to join NATO is on and defense spending will reach new heights, Russia is assured of becoming an economic wasteland for the rest of our lifetimes and beyond, their infrastructure will crumble even their nukes will become nonoperational after a time with no money coming in the country, maybe there will be a mass exodus of Russians when it becomes too hard to live there, after all who can live with no McDonalds 555555555555  Putin will be very proud having presided over the destruction of his own country, agro economy N Korea style here we come.

At yesterday briefing at United Nations in New York, speaking to journalists in New York, the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, said on Monday that Ukraine is on fire, with the country being decimated before the eyes of the world. "The impact on civilians is reaching terrifying proportions. Countless innocent people – including women and children – have been killed. After being hit by Russian forces, roads, airports and schools lie in ruins," Guterres said.

Interesting was a question (min. 9:07) whether he knows the news about hitting of city heart of Donetsk by Ukrainian forces with missile Tochka U and that the warhead of the missile was filled by cluster munitions?   Whether UN is aware of this incident?

The accusation of the attack raised in the question is one made by Russia and has not been independently verified.

I note too that the person asking the question failed to identify himself.

With his answer being........................

Secretary-General: I have seen the news about this incident, and I have to say that our position is very clear. Any attack on civilians or civilian infrastructure is regrettable if accidental and condemnable if done on purpose. But let’s be clear. The overwhelming majority of civilian casualties and the overwhelming majority of civilian infrastructure destruction was done in the context of the war by the Russian forces.

Regardless, it’s an unconfirmed report.

Another snippet from his speech..................

"After being hit by Russian forces, roads, airports and schools lie in ruins. According to the World Health Organization, at least 24 health facilities have suffered attacks."

What is happening about Belarus then? They keep saying they are coming into the war but don't. Perhaps they are frightened of getting stuck in that 40 mile traffic jam of Russian tanks? ????

And what about the Syrian cannon fodder? Have they changed their underwear yet after the last news release? :cheesy::cheesy:

I'm sure the Secretary-General and the international war crimes tribunal which is already collecting evidence have in their possession some of the many documentary proofs of cluster bombs documented in the following reports.

There's so much evidence of the use of cluster bombs in these images, videos, geo location tags and direction of fire that its almost overwhelming.

These are the Cluster Munitions Documented by Ukrainian Civilians

In recent weeks, Bellingcat has documented these weapons landing near schools, hospitals and in residential areas of Ukrainian cities such as Kharkiv, Odesa and Kherson, seemingly often far away from noticeable military targets.

Due to concerns around the significant civilian harm cluster munitions can cause, Bellingcat is tracking the use of these weapons inside Ukraine.

And here................

Invasion of Ukraine: Tracking use of Cluster Munitions in Civilian Areas

In some instances, the number of casualties appears to have been significant.

For example, HRW have investigated and verified use of cluster munitions that landed just outside a Ukrainian hospital, pointing the finger of blame at Russia and calling for Russian forces to “stop using cluster munitions and end unlawful attacks with weapons that indiscriminately kill and maim”.

well, Russia accuses Ukraine to shell and kill their own civilians.

How low can they go, and will you go with them or even lower ?

 Whataboutary.

You chose to put up the video and draw our attention to the question asked.

Having done so you now object to the obvious problems of Russia’s credibility as it relates to the claims Russia has made.

Russia’s statements wrt not invading -lies.

Russia’s statements wrt not having invaded - laugh out loud lies.

Russia’s statements wrt to Ukrainian Biological Weapons programs - Dangerous lies.

The list goes on.

So please, don’t put up posts based on Russian statements and then object to others questioning the truth of Russia’s claims.

And for the record, Russia killing a single Ukrainian child is one dead Ukrainian child too many, don’t go obfuscating that fact with pedantry over the actual numbers of Ukrainian children Russia has killed.

I think the Syrians have a bit of squeaky bum time.  Ukrainian army aren't a load of ISIS or civilians they will be fighting Ukranian army fire back.

What is happening about Belarus then? Is Lukashenko's massive head is a snipers dream but he is not sure not sure from what direction it will come or even if its Vlad or Vlod pulls the trigger I think  ????

The shelling of parts of Ukraine by the Ukrainian forces I thought is the excuse for Putin to conduct his rescue mission.

Belarus are like many dictators around the world . They are ok suppressing their own people but to fight someone that fires back forget it.

You thought wrongly.

The Russian claims of Ukrainian shelling parts of Ukraine are the pretext for Russia’s illegal invasion.

They didn't except in response to shelling from Russian backed separatists.

I'm getting sick of these Russian backed IRA astroturfers. They are only here to spread propaganda. Their modus operandi is to appear to be fence sitters and act like the voice of reason while casting doubt on credible media sources as well as pushing outright lies or, at least egregious distortions of the truth, typically lying by omission.

Well Xi fell for your list and in all probability got the idea of weaponizing fleas and lice from Lavrov last week to add to his bird and bat collection of vectors ????

I don't mind reasoned arguments supported by facts through credible links. That's not what we are seeing here.

And while parroting the propaganda they’ve been fed, making the claim to be ‘free thinkers’.

Well like it or not it's war the fact is that many people are dying no credible links are required.

That's true, credible links...

BTW, 2.7 millions have left within 2 weeks via humanitarian corridors? By trains, by buses, by cars. Were they attacked on the way?

That's something what the world has not experienced in the former wars, not even in the wars of last 70 years or so.

Have we ever heard about such humanitarian corridors?

A convenient line of logic for those wishing to parrot propaganda.
