Do we need a work permit to submit our video clips?

  • You should submit your videos whilst the brown traffic cop cars sit on the hard shoulder just ignoring all the reckless drivers, day after day, year after year.

  • Thepolice is too lazy to do their job. Every day I see on the road overloaded trucks, often driving on the right lane or speeding cars driving over 3 lanes, scooters on the middle lane with no helmets

So the 7 "best " clips will receive the prize money from the Viriya Insurance people.

I'll be the one with the camera Ferrari- spotting by the pedestrian/zebra crossing.

My wife will be stationed on the flyover watching for "big bikes"

Son hasn't yet decided on the shop-front or the canal as a vantage point.

Wish us luck.

I wonder how many accidents will be caused by drivers attempting to video other drivers....

ever heard of a dash cam?

Glad ive the week off work, Hate dogs that blab to the police.

Might be able to catch someone without a crash helmet on.

To those who deride this initiative. The same initiative is being successfully rolled out in the UK and has resulted in numerous convictions, with hefty fines, and in some cases prison for the offender. Well done to the RTP, the police can't be everywhere at once and all these offenders only do it when the police aren't around so the only evidence is dash cam and mobile phone to catch the perpetrators

To the posters who came down hard on those who said 'how about drivers who will use their phones while driving' with 'Every heard of dash cam?'.... well the OP says dash cams or smartphones. And not everyone has a dash cam and not all dash cams are pointing where you might want them pointed, such as out the side or rear windows. So please give these guys a break.

So, are the RTP stating that everyone who does use a smartphone must be a passenger or in a stopped vehicle (not at a red light)? Because if not, they're encouraging snitches to break the law... and who's going to snitch on them? And on and on it goes.

Sorry to ask you to do this but my staff are too busy playing with their mobiles & keeping cool in the

tents

this should be a permanent programme with 30% commission for a select number of clear-cut infractions.

Just gets dafter and dafter - video is  notoriously unreliable as evidence and in the hands of another amateur road user, quite possibly  involves a higher risk of collision.

If indeed they got some video, what would they do Charge someone with dangerous diving....if they can trace the vehicle and driver?

One could just stand on sky-walk over Asok and Sukhumvit and film the huge amount of motorcycles on zebra crossings, and then take sky-walk to next intersection. Easy money for 30 minutes work.

Will motorcycle registration plates be clearly legible on photos taken from that angle?
